Your friend has to be in a seperate lobby and then join your private match through its party key. Hope this helps!

Create a private match in a seperate lobby from theirs . Then tell your friend what the code to the Private Match is (should say in the bottom left corner). Then let your friend enter the private match section and enter the code

Done it many times with a friend of mine. Did it today even. Not really sure what you’re missing, but I’ll try to explain one more time.

1. Create a Private Match in a Lobby/party that your friend isn’t in.

2. After creating a Private Match Lobby, a 4 letter/digit code will appear in the bottom left corner.

3. Your friend now has to press the private match icon and type in the code of your Private Match (Make sure he doesn’t create a new private match).

4. Done! They will now be present in your Private Match lobby, assigned to different teams.

It took around 24h to ban a blatant cheater in ranked. Last day of season 2 I was climbing to diamond and got a cheater in all rounds including the finals. We won 1st and 2nd round but we saw it really early and avoided them as possible. Unfortunately we didn't won against them in the final round. Even so, it was really good to start season 3 with this message. Thank you embark. People don't say that enough.

Pretty much wrong. You give embark to much credit here. The actual Matchmkkaing puts silver unranked and gold in one match and diamond platin ruby and Diamond in one too. Gold cna be in diamond, platin lobbies too.
You shouldnt put those togetherat all. Silver and unranked together, gold and platin and diamond platin and ruby in one.

It wasn't a show of skill or determination or anything, not even paying them for it; it was just a glorified lottery on who got the invites.
Plus, those cosmetics probably took development time away from the game as well as aren't likely to ever return so someone that just wants them is completely out of luck. I understand the ranked skins (diamond weapons) from the closed betas since they took a showcase of skill within a closed group, but not the other cosmetics that were distributed on an essentially arbitrary basis. The people who got them did nothing special, they were just at the right place at the right time.

@high falcon That's a pretty bad metaphor, top eight teams from each conference qualify for the playoffs meaning the trophy is going to be distributed to someone who had to put in work in the first place. As well as the people who won the trophy don't go out into the neighbourhood basketball court and tell the people how cool the trophy is and how they can't get it. No one is complaining that professionals from a well known league win a trophy for their efforts; meanwhile the closed beta stuff was basically a lottery for those who were lucky enough to know about the game in the first place.

And as someone who plays all 3 classes, I always go positive with all of them. Positioning is the most important.

Light don't ever fight head on, always land the first bullet. If you don't, get out of that fight asap.

Medium just good aim and map awareness.

Heavy just get as close as possible, don't engage in long range fights if you can't hit those shots. People are scared of aggressive heavies.
