I dont play as much anymore for a lot of the same reasons in which i relate to in this video.
yes I understand that this video may be a bit of a rant and a bit shallow but the main frustrations are points i can resonate with heavily.
the game feels so draining in terms of the community.
The game to me has always been lacking in terms of potential of what it can be, its a VR game show ffs (excuse my language) but there could be SO MUCH MORE per season or just seemingly more effort.
I understand that Embark is a relatively smaller dev team but cmon man, I dont wanna push them into overworking but Cashout feels like its missing something, it has a really good base but I wish I knew what it needed but im afraid i dont know
Furthermore, i HATE how much they listen to the community that is the damn reddit and youtubers and just go on a nerf tirade, nerf nerf nerf nerf
like
think about why these weapons such as the xp 54, cerberus, sword etc were popular, BECAUSE THEYRE GOOD and FUN compared to the rest, does that mean they need a nerf? mayyybe but its more of a problem of why the other weapons are considered weaker or less fun
Additionally, the microtransactions in this game are setting up the foundation for even more predatory prices and items,
for example the ultimate BP costing around pretty much HALF to almost the FULL price of a AAA game, just shy of the full price of Arc Raiders, like, "the game is free" my ahh, If you fail to see how this is just absurd and I refuse to even converse with you.
"Flat Pricing Across Currencies Is Anti-Consumer. Charging nearly half the price of a AAA+ game for a Battle Pass that’s basically just reskins is diabolical use of FOMO. Rolling out an expensive new tier while players are complaining about core gameplay issues feels tone-deaf, and being okay with it gives them green light to keep ignoring us." - u/pandemon1um_
