aight so this might seem weird but i really want to write a story, and do some sort of album with it. maybe on another account or something.
would y'all mind giving ideas for as to where the story could go? i got a general ideas of it..

this is the main elements of the story.

this is a story about a writer writing a book, he usually writes big block busters but for once.. he tried making something more.. him. smaller in scope. something that hits home for him.
he wrote a simple recap of the universe of the story. it's about a normal guy going thru normal things. working an average job and making average wage (none of his activity like what kind of job, or what kind of food he likes is every said with precision.)
but one day the character within the story becomes sentient. at first, he's not sure what's happening. why is he doing some actions, or why does he drink late with no actual desire to do so (in overaching story, the writer added an alcohol addiction to his character, because his father was alcoholic.. but this isn't needed to be said until the very end)
the character in the book cannot express himself to the writer. he is only meerly feeling like a need to do these actions, like someone with demensia.
the writer kind of plays with his character when angry, writing stories about how he ran out his home. putting him in very bad situations.. ect.
at some point in the story the character is going to try and off himself. and he asks to the sky, thinking about his wife he had that he last and says "i wish i could be better, i wish i had the strengh to better myself. the strengh to build a home. but alas i was ungrateful. i wish i had a change to do it all again, but even now i dont know if i would have had the strengh to push forward. it was nice while it lasted.. right? oh forget it."
and has the character said this, the first time the book changes in the view of the writer is those last words he said. the writer confused to why his book wrote itself, looks up. and there he sees himself as the character, living his life. doing his job, in an instant gain of information he realises he is himself at the edge of a cliff...
all this time, the writer was writing his own life, the last text added to the book is something he told himself, before it all ended.

Thanks! I generally don't do a whole lot of touch ups, mainly just adjusting the brightness level and sometimes reducing saturation because I tend to shoot underexposed photos with a Fujifilm film simulation

Damn what camera do you use? And what camera settings? Looks like you changed the white balance to 10k.

I use a Fujifilm X-T10, fitted with a converter ring for Nikon lenses. Most of the time I use a 55-200 mm lens. I just use a vibrant film simulation and a white balance that brings out warmer colors a bit better and makes cooler colors pop

Keep pushing through. If you're drawing with your finger, it's like relearning how to draw. I recommend getting a tablet and pen. They're about 50 bucks most of the time, so... :p

i reccommend dropping the pen density (or transparency if you dont have that). Makes it light and almost like a pencil. I say this because the messy noise and human mistakes makes art pleasing to look at; your brain fills the gaps,, thats why sketches end up looking "better" than the final lineart sometimes

2: what are your big goals for art?
i read a couple article recently about why people are successful, 79% of people don't have goals, 14% have goals but didn't write it down, the rest of 9% have goals written down
10 year later people who have goals make 2 times the income of the average no goal people, and people who have goal and written it down have 10 times

2.5: have something to focus on
look at your own art and critic it, are you bad at anatomy or perspective or drawing faces? i know i do. try focusing on improving one of them at a time on your own pace. it dosn't have to be that big, maybe just learning simple shape or that pesky hand that i, for the sanity of me can't draw right

You can make a low poly version and bake the detail from the high poly model into the texture. Not sure if Blender has made that process easier over the years or not. That's one reason why buying Substance Painter was a game changer for me. On Steam it's a one time purchase instead of a subscription. You just don't receive updates after the year is over

Oh it is satisfying! Out of all the work I've done, I had the most fun putting together that piece. Zentangles are super fun since you can pretty much do whatever you want. My first one ended up... bleak to others

It reminds me of this one picture I took with a cheap camera that I love a lot. It was a picture of a Redwood's trunk

The way the light hits the trunk is super mesmerizing for me... plus those flares on the right-hand side are a nice touch

Thanks! I haven't done much photography or IRL artwork the past two years. But I've started doing stuff with my cousins and nieces recently and it's been a blast doing simple art and photos. Good phone cameras come in clutch 😂

my sister on the other hand... she's way better at photography than me. For example, she took this one and I use it as the wallpaper for my phone. Although she rarely, if ever, does it now with her standalone camera. Phones are just very convenient nowadays and have amazing cameras
