The national anthem of Oscario plays for a few minutes, before regular Comwire broadcasts resume

2 weeks and they loose a massive air battleship, and a ton of infantry

so Oscario is ruled by both a monarch and a Director, the monarch has more control over national and diplomatic affairs and the director has control over the military

both have some power in everything though and can reject things the other wants to do

in the event there is no Monarch in power, the Director has full control though is checked by the state council.

basically in addition to only sending this, during his rule the upper ranks of the military, airfleet in particular, got very corrupt and lazy. Resulting in the captain of the Shovoc class Airdreadnought getting very cocky.
The Dreadnought was sent through the Solus canyon to hit a big defensive position from behind, and was confronted by the puny Bosovian airfleet.
Upon seeing that the Bosovian airfleet was using small steam powered blimps and flickers, equipped with small black powder cannons, steam cannons, and relatively low grade magic weapons, he let down his guard and kept pushing onward and lowered shields and altitude to get through the Grand Solus canyon easier.

Then Bosovia pulled up an old Alcorian 600mm Alestrium bomb cannon that they found and restored after the first great war, firing a 5 ton keg of highly unstable magic rock at the airship.
Typically shields just eat these with minimal impact to the shield itself, but this broke through and ripped the ship in half

thats less organized i typed that on the spot

This confrontation was actually the first lore i wrote, and i kinda built the whole resulting situation around it because i really liked it

there is no real reason why Elite warmechs often use blades aside from honor, but i find it really cool

also the fact that its 1920 and the highest caliber autoloader is a 20mm and in a single crew vehicle its a bit tricky to manually reload, aim and fire a cannon

Best advice is to just draw 🙂 Bring your sketchbook with you all the time, make doodles, take inspiration from where you are. Draw the same thing multiple times, throw away your sketches, and try to get away from the feeling of “this drawing needs to be perfect so others will like it” 😀 I have around 30 sketchbooks that no one has ever seen the inside of ^^
And most importantly: have fun!

However to start learning I don’t regret using unity because of the amount of tutorials and free assets that there were at my disposal, but now that I know my way around game development pretty well, I feel like I really need to upgrade. Plus I’ve been eyeing ue5 for some time, and wanna get my hands dirty with it. Just gonna try and finish this game first

Unity's community is really strong especially with how newcomer friendly it can be. I admire your dedication to finishing this game in Unity, all my time fiddling with the Unreal Engines and I've never even shared my work let alone finished a full project lol.
