Honestly, I am completely torn right now.

imo the main reason why BC2 is so fun is how different it actually is from the main Battlefield entries, while also retaining the same style of gameplay
It's like old CoD MWs had a child with Battlefield and Halo was it's uncle

And honestly, making a new Bad Company wouldn't be that hard in terms of multiplayer, because they already kinda did it with 2042's portal gamemode
I've seen people running servers and playing on BC2's map where everyone used really similar loadouts to what this game offered and honest to God it was like peeking through a keyhole into the alternate universe where BC2 got a proper and good remaster

So yeah, smaller maps, more dynamic and way more arcadey gameplay, no planes and less vehicles overall combined with satisfying gunplay, well known gamemodes and unique atmosphere of you simply being another soldier on the field, effectively taking a part in the "background battle" singleplayer BF campaings had
