my experience with the game was pretty smooth apart from occassional audio glitch, t-pose and wierd ai behaviour during missions

and subtick calculates everything that is most important which are - shots fired, shots hit, hitboxes, grenade throws and movement (partially)

the moment you click your mouse is the exact moment the shot gets registered. so if you're on the hitbox while you press your left-click it will definitely hit, but whether you landed your shot or not you will see slightly delayed. previously it was about the moment your weapon (animation) fired/created the shot. so previously there was no delayed visual feedback. instead the hitboxes were slightly delayed at all time. that might be the reason why shooting still feels a bit weird. it's accurate but you get the update slightly later than before. to put it simply, I think valve still uses normal tickrate for the visual feedback, but should implement subticks there too for a better experience

I've read a writeup of someone who did extended testing and what he wrote matches my experience
