While you're being given the tour, the lights cut out, your instructor tells you to come with him to the security room

he gets gobbled up, and a squadron runs by and shoots the ants to smithereens

Since they can't have an unarmed civilian running around, they gave you some basic EDF weaponry

for Ranger it's a rifle and a rocket launcher

for Windiver it's whatever nobody plays wingdiver first pfsh

For Air Raider it's a limplet gun, a turret, and a healing machine

#

And for fencer it's a bigass sword and shield and two miniguns

obviously.

i should mention Fencer has a mobilty assistant system, basically a mini mech suit

ANYWAYS you painstakingly fight your way out of the base

and you find out that the top of the base is just getting OVERRUN to hell and back

not to mention the ACTUAL mechs

so you need to do your best to protect the base from the swarm while everyone else helps

There's literally too many enemies for the air force to be able to help you without risking being shot down

If you know what Garry's Mod is, s&box is basically an official sequel for it made on Source 2 that will allow for even more freedom with creating content, maps, scripts, gamemodes ect, getting access to it is extremely hard though, Garry himself and Facepunch are making this game.

Valve is truly WASTING themselves not using it for their games, I would even accept remasters of their old games to work on Source 2, screw HL1 because we have Black Mesa, imagine Half Life 2, especially the City17, coast and that entire ride towards White Forest with such high fidelity

Source 1 was used a bit more by Valve because only 9 games use it

that's of cource if we count only official valve games and not third party games too

and i counted HL2 + Episodes as one game, since they basically are one game

However Source 2 is only used by Dota 2 and now CS2, even though it was created back in 2014, thats a lot of time spent on basically nothing, although, the Source 2 we know today is a bit different than this from 2014, so in reality Source 2 is only like 2-3 years old now since it's "complete state" was released.

bear armor only makes sense if you decide to go full vitality and healing potions which makes bear gear one of if not the worst choice since you're essencially killing off most of the fun stuff to do in the name of swinging your sword and healing yourself from time to time, completely ignoring the signs or any other potions

Ok sure - Objectively both expansions are great and well designed although both of them have flaws like anything in this world:
HoS is a small, short and simple expansion that adds ~2h of story and ~1.5h of side content, it was never meant to be anything else but an extra chunk of the story and stuff to experience.
B&W is way bigger in scope hence it's high quality and massive amounts of stuff to do, it was supposed to be a massive "thank you" to the fans and seeing how everyone treats and feels about B&W - they delivered.
Now, few words about the issues with both expansions:
HoS doesn't add literally nothing to the main game in terms of story, apart from few dialogues that are there just for the fun of it so you can just literally beat through the main game without missing out on anything, rewards from this expansion are also pretty boring because apart from the Iris sword (that isn't even that strong to begin with) rest of the stuff is basically worthless.
Blood and Wine has this god forsaken contract where you have to run around the entire Toussaint and kill dozens of bandits just to recieve a really small reward of 1500 crowns, sure you can get even more money just by selling the stuff looted from those bandits but this correlates to another big issue in BoW that is a really small amount of contracts in comparasion to main or side quests which makes money/xp making fully dependent on looting, doing sidequests and progressing main story, and even if you manage to find a contract - it pays pretty poorly. There is also a lot of waiting for stuff to actually happend - wait a week to recieve 500 crowns from bank, three days to get daily supplies of wine with your name on it ect...

The expansion pass promised full fledged expansions, if all I get is one and a third of one then I won't be happy. With the fact that what you did in velen has so much consequence to the whole main story, having an isolated event called HoS felt like a kick in the teeth that you paid extra for
