Generally speaking, after so many patches, fixes ect. I can recommend buying Cyberpunk for the full price, in my eyes it's worth it.

But I think, especially for the new players, It's gonna be most worth playing through it after Phantom Liberty releases, it's gonna change many major features and probably even introduce many new ones, one of which will be relic skill tree and of course complete police revamp

what's elden ring co-op?

basically a peer-2-peer mod that allows unrestricted coop experience up to 5 players, it also has scaling so it's not like bosses or enemies are too easy when you play with more people

its on nexus mods and the only downside is that it is a completely separate launcher where you cant access any official online stuff, so no player messages, invasions ect. otherwise you'd simply get banned

you cant even transfer your character from coop to singeplayer for the same reason

soulslikes aren't like that, they are challenging and hard because it is fun to learn and improve

if you're a first timer, there is no way you will manage to kill your first boss without any deaths, but this is part of the fun - you watch and learn how the enemy behaves and try to counter him with various tactics, that's whats fun about soulslikes - complete freedom and zero tutorials on how you want to approach any fight and it only depends on your knowledge and skill if you succeed

elden ring is the easiest soulslike on the market currently, although its open world is kinda confusing at times - if you start taking notes, you'll start getting used to it and sooner or later find your way.
I cannot recommend buying it for full price if you're a guy that isn't 100% sure about the game, i'd suggest waiting until a sale.

story of elden ring is being told in small pieces all throughout the game, during conversations with npcs, cutscenes after you do certain tasks that are also unexplained anywhere on how to do them ect.
so figuring out what the hell are you even doing there apart from "get melina to erdtree asap because she told me so" can be a bit hard, unless you understand Miyazaki's game design and explore the shit out of the world, even in places you wouldn't normally expect something being there before doing anything important and story-progression related

you're just cleaning up the map, gathering loot in hopes of some small dose of dopamine reaching your brain, shitty game design really

You know when these question marks are acceptable? when you actually change something in the world and do something meaningful - in Witcher 3 sometimes you could free the village from monsters, there are less active gang members in Cyberpunk as you continue to clean up NCPD scanners and the places where there were enemies get filled with homeless and other npcs.
But unfortunately, most of the times it's just a copy pasted loot cave all over the map.

If you like open world games where exploration is the focus, story is important and the game isn't unnecessarily hard if you don't want it to be then maybe games like Cyberpunk and Witcher series might be for you, unless you've already played through them @versed cradle

they're a girl only unit because you need to be a real thin weight to wear the gear though

They have a energy management system and a bunch of laser weapons, not my cup of tea

they can fly which can be useful on some levels, but it draws from the same energy supply as weapons so it makes it situational a lot
