i can compare this game to rising storm 2: vietnam, only with the level of team coordination you need - you can get away with none and still have some fun but it's still quite recommended and quite the point of the game. it's not like squad or hell let loose where team coordination is mandatory and completely central to the experience of the game, with using mechanics being a distant second to those games' enjoyment i feel

i've seen a sovietwomble video where soviet literally plays around with bits of paper so he can fire grenade launcher rounds better, literally messing with the game mechanics (well, more like game sense here) that few really anticipate

in the finals there's some mechanical skill needed so some individualist gameplay can be encouraged, although those who really want to win will hate you for it

@gusty ice hey if ur interested in a game with really cool movement and a sorta spectacle fighter but in fps form, there's a game called hyper demon that really kinda scratches the tf2 itch for me. i got rly obsessed wiht it it's really cool. it's made by the same devs as devil daggers

it's really cool and they don't really do much advertising. it's super intense visuals tho so def not for everyone but it's telegraphing lots of important information with lots of nuance. it projects your surroundings onto a sphere or something i'm not sure how it works but it gives it that fish eye thing where your view really warps as you approach your peripherals so that you can see farther to your sides

also if an enemy gets close behind you, they'll show up overlayed on ur screen in red to warn you but the range isn't as far as i wish it was tbh but it's just such a cool idea to me. it's super simple on the surface. you have like 8 keybinds and the complexity of the game lies in doing specific things with other things and at different times and places and stuff that you might not think of on ur own so ik some ppl are frustrated by there not being extensive enough ingame tutorials to really start getting learning all the crazy stuff u can do

but there's a leaderboard and you can watch anyone's replay and see what buttons they're pressing and slow and speed up time and there's a clips page aswell. this allows you to see how much potential there is and how far people have pushed the game. the recent world record runs have been bat shit. they're just doing so many different things so fast it just doesn't make sense to me without slowing it down and seeing their inputs. i didn't mean to type this much i just rly like hyper demon. i'm also rly sadge that finals isn't open anymore. i only played it for like 2 days before cb2 closed lol but i've been rly excited to play it

Can’t believe I even bothered to play Battlefield 2042. It was on Gamepass, so I played it without directly paying for it. Even with its updates for two years, a plethora of issues still remain.

Mouse input being extremely broken is just one minuscule piece of an immense picture. Conquest is utterly garbage, maps are garbage even with reworks, specialists are trash, hitreg is terrible, and numerous bugs and glitches just leave me to alt f4ing from an unbearable game. AR nerf is not only a bad decision, but completely bugged. They’re unviable, like an F-tier character of a fighting game.

The Battlefield community just doesn’t fully acknowledge these problems. They deny them every single time. They think that the game is fixed, but really, it’s not. There’s content creators (whose names I won’t mention) out there who say in a consecutive amount of videos that the game “CAN’T BE BEATEN. NOTHING IS BETTER THAN IT RIGHT NOW. IT BECAME THE BEST FPS WITH SEASON 5”.

The content creators who do critique their game are wrongfully banned for “harassment”. I know them, they haven’t said anything out of order. And all I see is a boundary between those who are disgusted, and another who are like “GO DICE!”. The latter is numerous.

I’m just very, very depressed that the FPS franchise that I’ve known for a full decade, that I once loved so much, has gone to shit. It’s a travesty.

And one more thing. Battlefield 2042’s launch is a legendary failure to remember. Never preorder, please.

BF 2042 is not a Battlefield game in a gameplay perspective, just the recoil for example or even the running animation, if you're an BF3 veteran you see it directly, frame 1

But even if you don't like the game, you can't take away the work of the devs to try to "save" the game after a chaotic management that they had to undergo (like many companies unfortunately)

I don't think Battlefield community are satisfied of what Battlefield franchise is today, but for what BF2042 is actually (and you can't change it) it's better than the launch version. It should not be confused that today Battlefield 2042 is maybe a good game, but not necessarily a good Battlefield

2042 honestly was disappointing, I stopped playing during like season 3 I think. And I was willing to defend its faults and whatnot at first but it got to the point that even with updates the game still ran so poorly and just wasn't very fun. I'm glad to hear that it's improved, but I don't think I'm ever redownloading it because it is and will always be a shell of the franchise's former glory

the only good battlefield was battlefield 1, battlefield bad company 2 and battlefield 1942. the others are kinda meh. 5 was good as well, too bad the servers has been overrun by hackers.
