the meta for kill rooms are armored enforcers with range aoe ball and fire rate cube thingies open space is miserable if created right
also be aware if youre trying to make an anti bolt trap make sure its 2.5 or so blocks thick. The talent maxed out allows you make kill rooms a breeze if you genuinely dont want to rush

Had a person quit the map twice. Come back with a friend on the 3rd attempt and still couldn't beat it

Bad HDR is the worst thing on the planet. It just creates unessecary shadows, makes dark areas pitch black for no reason, and usually desaturates colors everywhere. Good HDR should be darker and lighter areas retain color on top of having the darker black of shadows on them or the blinding white of bright light. Problem is most "HDR" monitors don't have enough lighting zones to actually do that so it just becomes a mess of shadowy blobs on the screen lol

Personally I have been following the game for awhile and I think it has potential. I won’t call it a COD killer but I do think it has a lot of things MP players in COD are missing and has a lot of things COD in general is missing right now. If your into arcade shooter games like COD I really do think you will enjoy it. Over all I enjoy the game I think it’s great and I look forward to its launch and I will grind the beta. I for think it has enough to carve out its own playerbase. So there is my thoughts
As for the things that say MW2 is kinda lacking right now. Movement is the big one movement feels awesome. Gunplay feels nice and tight. Team play has big potential with all the gadgets each faction brings mixing it up and making each match flow a bit differently. It has map voting and it keeps your lobby together. Things COD players have been asking for for multiple years now! All in all last thoughts again if you enjoy fast arcade shooters you will enjoy the game. Especially if you enjoyed like blackops 3/4 like I did you will enjoy the gadgets and team play as well

Everything that COD is lacking, a fun true arcade shooter that cares about the community, still not to the extent embark has achieved here during the beta but you can see that they care, it has some great potential to live for at least a year but it always doesn’t end well in the long run when you rival a big franchise like call of duty who make a new game every year, but for now let’s enjoy it while we have it because it won’t last for too long

it’s not ubisoft, the creators of the game are all ex-cod devs just like here ex-dice ones, every bit of feedback given in early builds was implemented in the game and most of the cod pros also participated in making XD, ubisoft also has shown much more support for this game than hyperscape and other titles because it’s all about money and fame, if the game shows success in its early days and XD has definitely did that (100k+ viewers on twitch and every single content creator playing it) they support it
only thing bad about XD now are the servers, they clearly weren’t ready to host such a big player count so it has some big issues, but it gets better every hour as they are working to fix it

I think this one doesn't have enough hook to get people to play everything it offers I think another game does better, unfortunately. Feels like they took a lot of mechanics from other successful games and stapled them together, they didn't really innovate much. It feels too safe to hook a big community might end up like Vampire Masquerade bloodhunt with just enough of a population to sustain it but I doubt it'll be the next big thing.

As always though I encourage people to try the game out and formulate their own opinions it does feel like old school CoD's so if you enjoyed like original MW you'll find some similarities there for gun play. But the nail in the coffin for this one for me is if this came out as the same time as the original Modern Warfare 2 I would think it was an innovation of the CoD formula but like I said releasing now if you like ability based hero shooters overwatch does it better, if you like low TTK fast paced shooters, CoD does it better (even now), if you like movement based heavy shooters apex does it better AND has the abilities to boot.

As it stands I think the only thing in the game that needs a heavy rework or removal and not just more polish is the concept of the healer class, they get a self heal that might as well be a 2nd health bar because since it has CoD TTK it NEEDS to heal fast or it's pointless and their "ultimate" is basically giving that insane heal to a group in an AoE and it STACKS with their already insane personal heal. If you want to do the twitch based movement shooter you can't have a healer that is essentially just more health as a class because that's all anyone will play.

Yeah I don't want to disparage the work that's gone into it and there is a solid foundation in xDefiant. It just feels like trend chasing is washing out other systems; again like you're getting a watered down version of each trend in FPS right now. I think if they chose a more solid direction/focus for the game to go you'd get a better overall experience instead of spreading it out between all these features. As an example less abilities and spending the development time from those abilities on refining the movement systems to be something more like titanfall or apex and you could have had something really unique that doesn't have good niche right now, a true movement based arena shooter. As it stands you plop xDefiant and the FINALS in front of me to choose as my new main stay FPS and it isn't even a contest as fan boy as that is to say in this discord server lol.
After playing a few more games of it it just kind of feels like the Original MW with overwatch style abilities stapled on to it. Which would have been cool when the Original MW2 came out but right now it just feels tired to me.

I liked the first segment of the First game a lot the actual resort area since the focus was on the invetive melee aspects. But once guns got added and enemies started being other survivors with guns I felt like it sapped some of the fun out of it. If this one is just a zombie mulching simulator I'm stoked, could be really good, bummed squad size was reduced from 4 to 3 though now my original crew from the first game can't go through this one together 😦 looks like it has some good potential though I'm optimistic.

The EOD Bot was getting a bit too friendly with Boris' SG-36 Sentry Gun and instead of repairing it, would pick it up. Not figuratively speaking, don’t ask us how that would have looked, an EOD Bot rolling down the hills of Flashpoint with a Sentry Gun on it. Anyway, this will no longer take place and it will repair the turret instead, as intended.
