Fast RMX wasn't quite right. It showed us what a modern Fzero like game could look like. However, it wasn't the true Fzero experience.

GX is so good. It'd be difficult to make it better. I also think that Nintendo's hardware hasn't hit a point where the switch could provide a generational leap over the Gamecube.

Honestly, in my opinion, the Switch is a portable Xbox360 with more ram. Essentially putting the switch a generation ahead of the Gamecube.

something as difficult and hardcore as tarkov's health and weapon system while keeping huge maps such as squad or arma and 50v50 or 100v100 in a persistent battle like some of arma's persistent servers

It has the RDNA2 architecture. That's the only reason it performs well. 4tflops of gpu compute. I think the CPUs are pretty similar between Series X and S.

Being on a 6nm process also helps.

For a lot of casual gamers, it's more than enough. So a good decision on Xbox's behalf. I considered getting it at some point but I got a gaming pc so it was no longer necessary.

On the topic of Bungie. Destiny was supposed to be a very different game that what we got. It was basically cut up into little pieces. The story was gutted so they could meet Activision's deadlines.

If the original content created is 100% of the game. Destiny shipped with 15% of the actual experience. The engine for destiny apparently took 8 hours to load.

The issue is that engines in many instances have specific functions rather than being more open ended. Creating a new proprietary engine would take quite a few years and they would need to know from the start what they're going to use the engine for

These days we have companies outsourcing parts of development. Most often it winds up being on the other side of then planet. A lot can go wrong when things are done as they are.

Old games were made by a close knit group of people. Testing and bug fixes were done internally by the devs.

343 did the same thing and they basically had no proper management so nothing was really done as well as it could've been

Q&A teams and outsourcing bug testing is a huge waste of money and resources.

Also, game soundtracks are the most underrated part of games.

It's definitely got some inspiration in it's ideas from Bioshock but I wouldn't put the gameplay in the same box as Bioshock. It feels faster paced to me than Bioshock did. It's pretty unique I would recommend giving it a shot. If you like Metro, Bioshock, STALKER, you'll find some sprinklings of each in this but it comes together as something that stands on it's own. I would for sure recommend going in as blind as possible but I recommend that for anything these days lol.
