I understand that free games need to make money somehow, especially the big ones but 20$ for 5 hour long story and countless hours of the same grind as before but on different map? and now 60$ for pre ordering lightfall...
For me, destiny 2 ended with Beyond Light and after that we're back to square one with dlc's costing way more than they should've for the content they provide

not to mention that there is also content locked behind a battle pass that costs another ~10$ each few months

Planning to test it as well, and I feel you sooo much on the "perfect run" feeling on Dishonored. I retried that game so much and never finished it because of that exact reason haha.

I saw most of the people that didn't like it were annoyed that it was less of a immersive sim than Dishonored 1 or 2 or they it was more action oriented then Dishonored.

Personally most of those don't really make sense to me? From what I understand you can still be as stealthy or actiony as you want in Deathloop. And Dishonored 1 and 2 weren't immersive Sims anyway? Kinda weird complaints that I don't understand.

Im just speculating here but maybe it could be that you have less incentives to stealth and/or play smartly to affect the story compared to games like Deus Ex and Dishonored, where you are rewarded for looking around and playing more cautiously/immersive?

But for me personally I felt both Dishonored games achieved the immersive sim aspect, even if it is not as deep as the OG Deus Ex

Exactly! My guess on that (as a game anim) is that assets and content takes more time and is harder to make than before. So producing entire new story arcs or even alternative path is a bigger task than before.

I am annoyed Dishonored 2 didn't sell nearly as well as it should have

I will admit it didn't sell itself to me all that well because to me at least the setting itself is kinda more... Lame? A coastal mining city having a infestation of bugs is a lot less of a setting than the capital of a empire in the middle of a plague that has caused the entire city to be put on lockdown, quarantine zones to be set up, and bridges blown.

But it makes up for that with just the absolutely amazing levels. The Governor's Place, Clockwork Mansion, the one I can't say because it's too good to say.

Someone mentioned dishonored games?! 😃 I have to write a comment...great single player fps games! Art style is something (at least for me) best seen in that genre! I would like to see a multiplayer fps game in that steam punk environment but in the style/mod of multiplayer like Wolfenstein enemy territory had.😃

I think dishonored 1 was a masterpiece and 2 got a broken launch but after all the updates. It holds up to 1. I also think the bug thing is kind of lame but it makes some levels unique

hayenas was weird i liked the zero gravity aspect but it need to be played more with it some times the NPCs feels overpowered sometimes they feel like shits specially if they are attacking you with other team

Apex at launch was at its best, with old map and fast games. They slowed game so muhc down with Ranking system were placement would give more XP then kills, it is stupid now. As well as not giving players option to play old map - which most of people want tbh. There is even a spike of people coming back to game when Grand Canyon was played.

And Apex is 1st person shooter. There is no decent 3d person BR and Fortnite is NOT a decent BR with all building stuff, just give us run and gun game, no need for fancy building or gadgets or abilities. Like Firestorm was, game was ON point and that is why I am saying this Team has a potential of making great things. 🙂

i did ... sure it wasnt about turning into immortals but the combat and its animations were already way better ... but this game seems to put the emphasis on pve while FH leaned into PVP with Duels and its Fighting Mechanics ... well see ... maybe im wrong and this game wont be dead in 2 months after release ...
