From a ride aspect there's little to no difference to "regular" bindings. I did find that if you want more customization in terms of angle/fit/highback they can be a little restrictive, but still absolutely functional for 99% of riders

A longer board will be more stable but take more effort to control, similarly a shorter board will be easier to control but less stable at speed (usually). There's also benefits for powder riding, but generally the board needs to be long and wide enough to support your weight

Honestly, I first found out about it when it was just a novel, I read it, had a blast, and moved on. Then the manga came out and for some reason everyone started gatekeeping the series and calling it the peak of manga and that kind of stuff, which made people either get turned off or start hyping it up as the best series on earth. I like the series a lot but people were way too annoying with the manga
