if youre gold, your gains in a ranked match are basically not affected by smurfs at all. gains are based on the team-rs in the lobby and not individual player-rs. The game balances those out pretty aggressively in the team. a 50k ruby with 2 20k players is still counted as something like a 140k team - 50 + 45 +45
whether you play against a 145 or 150k team doesnt really make a difference.
3 smurfs in one team basically doesnt happen at all, smurfs are only used when youre (way) past diamond and want to accelerate gains.
However, you are 102% right with the fact that as a gold player you shouldnt even queue against fkin rubies in the first place

It's possible that there aren't many players interested in games in the genre, possible that awareness is already highly saturated, possible that players aren't onboarded well, possible that the long-term gameplay loop doesn't engage them, possible that they are dissatisfied by some extrinsic factors, all sorts. The specific combination of these factors and others all determine the ideal distribution of Embark's resources, and you are just saying (based on literally nothing) that they need to shift their investment in one particular direction, which just seems... comedic, almost.

The Finals was never panned to me as an audience until I started playing and talking about the Finals, with the way social media works (specifically insta) you don't get ads for things till you talk about em or look them up

for example I bought skullcandys and now I keep getting skullcandy ads but I never got skullcandy ads till then

I'm not gonna go all the way in most niche advertisement stuff but okay just take streamers, just pay them. The most basic advertisement you can get. Let's say you got 200K for this, you could either make it 20 different small-medium streamers and give them a part, or just pour it into XQC or something, a big streamer who doesn't leave his damn house. Making it 20 people is better though because it'll generate more clips, more engagament, more this more that. But all I see on twitch is carnifex streaming with his teammates again, and they co-stream so it doesn't even attract new people LMAO
