Thing is melee doesn't really take that much skill (except for dagger), it's fundamentally as much "just click to hit someone" than guns being like "just click to shoot someone", and without the recoil part.
Melee is mostly just positioning and making profit on how your team comp works around it. And that is an immense skill on its own.

dagger is also 80% positioning. if you're good at the game and you can get dash stabs down, you'll be good at dagger.
the only mechanically challenging weapon WAS sword, but they added multihits, made it bad, and then ripped the skill expression right out of the weapon by adding the clamp.

they should have kept 140 lunge, 74 left click, and removed multhits. it becomes a support frag duelist weapon which is really healthy design

dagger is not about mechanical skill, and ik you've played like a billion hours on it but just hear me out. you hold right click, dash, and turn. that is not hard. HOWEVER, getting into a position to hit a backstab, dashstab, etc. is the hard part. trying to evade being seen by the enemy light while also being in an advantageous location for your team to try and insta pick someone, or going in during the chaos, etc. all of those decisions is what makes dagger so difficult. because like 9/10 comp players can hold right click and turn lol
