It's not. In old season, game was dogshit. Even now, most balance problem has been addressed but this matchmaking system is completely dogshit. You can feel it yourself if you make a new account. I'm pretty sure you can face ruby withint 5 quick play match of your new account. Also, we had terrible VR gatekeeping system which completely blocks new player to enjoy the game but this addressed at s7, which is this season. It's not strange people refuse recommendation. This game is still dogshit for new player.

The point of aim assist is to "level the playing field", which imo is completely stupid because you throw gyro and a flick stick on a controller and aim assist is irrelevant. However, consoles are 99% casual and the casuals will rage if their fps game doesn't have aim assist making it easy for them. I will say though, why the fuck do people even play fps on controller just play third person shooters it's 100x better imo

Yeah but the tutorial doesn't explain anything and I don't think it puts you in the PR. Granted I haven't ever played the tutorial so I could be wrong. In Val it's pretty simple there's like 4 main archetypes (smoke, flash, stun, molly) for the abilities and they just cover that, the core loop, and let you have fun on any characters. In this game I'm pretty sure the tutorial just covers the basics of the core loop, but not like the main archetypes (movement, grenades, mines, defense) abilities nor does it give a clear on ramp to try things out

I main and love playing Flame/Hammer with Goo Gun. But I also have started to like SA12 and play with it more. I would like to stick with it, but the moment a Riot is on another team it forces a swap from me. Its horribly designed; no way it made it past playtesting. Monty full extended while sprinting lmfao. Just because 1 weapon is in the lobby it should never demand a counter pick. Its bad design. Being a good player is not being stubborn, and realising when you need to swap. It should be incentivised, sure. But not outright demanding it, as it is now. Riot in a game = no fun allowed if playing hitscan.
