I'm trying to obtain the signalstick, but when I use the command "/mcpets signalstick [nickname] [petID]", I'm getting the item shown in the image.

The signal stick should be obtained from the interaction menu when properly set up. Have you tried using /MCPets editor ?

Yes, I already tried that. The skin still comes with the question mark.
