I don't understand. You're saying the movement is fine in MythicMobs, yet it's not fine when it's following you. Do you mean by this that the config for the movement speed in MythicMobs is set as you wished, and yet it's not moving as fast as expected?
Overall, MCPets does not handle the movement speed of the pet. You can edit the speed value in mob's config (MovementSpeed field I believe), or give it potion effects to accelerate it even further. Mounting is different, and solely managed by ModelEngine, so mob default speed does not affect it, only potion effects do

the movement speed when it follows me is very slow and the speed when i ride it is fine. i just found this way to edit the move speed but still every pet is moving like 0.5 blocks per second when following the player

0.2 is quite slow, you should try 0.28 or 0.29 and if that's still not enough for you, you can add a potion effect (make sure the anchor mob is not something slow like an axolotl or a turtle as well)
