Took me forever to figure out how to make a super tall staircase for the Hangar. It goes all the way from the bottom of the hangar stucture to the top, with multiple landings to get at each floor.

Atreides ramps give a lot of stability horizontally because they're so long. They're used for both bridges and the hanging hangar. Stability just extends out from foundations, add more pieces, eventually you hit a limit. It's based on # of pieces away from foundation, not weight, not distance. Harko's unique pieces could be used for the same purpose to build tall, but that's not necessary because you can use pillars/foundations to go just as high already.

If you build from both sides obviously you then get to build further away in the middle. Hangar gets stability from both top and bottom to avoid stability issues in the (vertical) middle.

My bridges aren't long enough to need it, but obviously you could build a bigger one because of this, actually about twice the length of mine, but you would need to vertically stake far enough down that you can build along the ground, otherwise you won't be able to line up a foundation on the opposite side.

the aoe parry stagger is mandatory for me. I tried poison rapiers, I didn't like it. I got chain stabbed out of clean hits too often and without stam on parry I'd find myself out of stam too often

aoe parry is normal for parrying though, only difference with long sword and rapier is being able to hit multiples at once. rapiar excells at dps/damage and even better in 1v1 or against the heavy armor enemies. long sword just takes too long to kill/do a charged. it's way too much time lost not to mention in pvp it's far worse since it's not possible to trade at that point.

ok but the guy with the gun can advance and easily avoid the blade, as for the melee person has to be able to melee to do damage, and if the melee player tries to shoot back they'll take way more damage and die faster then thhe dude in heavy armor. also in a group 1 heavy LMG user can be primed to deny all push from enemies. it's the buff that x3 armor. if you have 2 people priming you while floating you're unkillable and denying a push, also you have the ability that buffs damage in top left trooper. and if they turn there backs towards you even more damage. if you stack all the ranged, headshot and body damage perks you're basically a minigun juggarnaut from cod. keep in mind you do 40% body shot and 60% headshot of the actual damage that it says you have. so reduce 300 damage to 40% for body and 60% for headshots and also reduce the fact that each shot in the burst is 100. so if you know how damage works, you can't out play a tank in gunplay. however this is if the player knows what he's doing.

Personally I ran melee from level 1 and only gun I now carry is lasgun for dd pvp zones. But from wreck fightclubs I've tried myself, sticking to a gunner isn't a big issue. Each time you reload you're open for weirdstep or claw which will tripple your reload time overall every itme I got claw up, and vs everything but minigun I can just deflect because I got three stamina bars 😐

if I feel like it yeah, I park a combat one, mk4 hull-chassis-tail. Mk5 wings-psu-gen. But generally I fly my assault cargo there, I park it there, DD session starto: I pop out my cargo scout, refuel, rewated, fly north 2km, if it's safeish and lotsa nodes, stay there, if not try W or E or dare another 1-2km North.

The ONLY thing I have to worry about now unlike before update is that 2-4km South, no mattere where I am, south is quickest beeline to safety. I've been attacked dozen of times and they never got more than wings.

I then have a quota, 400 tita 300 strad, that's 100 ingots in the largest refiner. Anything over that is bonus. Bee mode it aka flit forth and back until assault is full. Then I can end session and fly assault back or start filling E base crates.

BEFORE: I fly out to E with booster scout, okay it seems safe, I switch booster to cargo, I get attacked at anytime? I'm 10km+ from closest PVE zone and they are as fast as me, I lose 7/10 meetings because they now chase me until B

The caveat is yes. IF you're too afraid to even dip into pvp then DD is useless. BUT unlike before you now at least have some safe sectors to scavange in. It's not perfect but it is an improvement

Easy enough to write a script for that tho.

Would look a little like this:

Player builds "X"
Player has "x amount of resources"
Player disconnects from server
Player loads back in
"Read what the player now has and if it doesn't match, flag the player"

You can code it to flag a player instead of automatically banning them, that way someone can investigate them. It's gonna be hard to back date that if nothing is already in place to do just that tho.

It happens once, no worries. Twice, investigate. 3 times, something isn't right

Duping is an easy fix though. All the "dupers" are doing is screwing with the database. When a person disconnects, put them in the pause menu automatically. By the time they exit that, they should already be booted from the server. It takes like 3 seconds from complete disconnection to be at the main menu again
