cooking isn't well covered, but once you have a survival fabricator you'll start noticing spice cooking recipes, though you can't use them until you start getting spice sand. the harder part is catching the mice, keep an eye out for them and if you can stand it kill them 😂 (my friends hunted them for me and left them in chest to tease me xD

So... it's been 3.6 years since I last uploaded a video.
Life happened. Not only did it happen, but I'm sure I was in a blender there at some stage 😄

Still... it took a long time to get back into making a video, and DUNE Awakening helped ignite that passion again.

It can't really simulate a super realistic flow of the storm? Some nooks count as sheltered (icon over water bar) and some don't

Press 'T' and you will see if you are unsheltered, sheltered, enclosed or watersealed. Standing under things can make you sheltered.

This happened to me, luckily in a safe area. If anyone else happens upon this, you can log out and back in and you will be out of the vehicle. If your buggy is still spinning (mine was) you can get it your Orni and collide it out of the spin.

Yeah something like a timing hack that changes the pace at which the game is rendered on their machine? I saw another video of a hacker flying around at light speed like that. This is the real reason why the DD is getting PvE regions. DD full PvP + Flight Speed hackers will kill this game quick.

I'm running the game on a 1080. No the problem is not the graphics, I'm aware that's a me problem. The problem is this player/guild has built the wall to block access by ground vehicle around pinnacle station. You cant move resources up from the rift without going all the way around either across the rift to the east or around way to the west. There's only one small pathway and its up a ridge that you cant exactly drive up to.

The guild itself has done this on purpose and has put demands on the server, if they want them to bring it down.

I'd have no issue with the wall if it was a cool wall base, which maintained the intimidating look without impacting the community of players on the server who have to maneuver around it. Most people are going to look up at it with awe... and miss a tunnel at the bottom so people can still move through it. But that wasnt their intention. They've said they did it to make it more difficult to get to higher tier resources on the map.

I've found doing a wing wiggle gets my thopter unstuck. Also, if your thopter does the slide when you land, it's likely gonna have the issue, and you might wanna unstick it before collecting.

Thoptor bays for those that don't want huge boxes. if you create a nose divit and use a half wall for visual effect you can fit a whole assault thoptor like this, and it counts as fully protected

You need to do the quests for either side and cement you want to join them, it will then go to 2 - X and you can get up to a max rank of 5, and then you can join the house properly.

This is genius and I'm stealing it, also really wish just being in the limits of the base counted as protected, like a shield around the whole thing for the sake of vehicles, so I could make proper lovely landing pads.

Try talking to the side you want to join and see if there is a "Now what do we do" style option to pick, exhaust all of the choices see if you get another quest. Or check your quests to see if it says go to harko or arraken

@wet thunder if a quest ever seems stuck, go to the last NPC involved in it, exhaust all talking choices, or in some cases go back to base and things will progress. Talking to the NPC is the best fix.

i think i halted the progress in this "quest line", since i skipped alot of journey quests in the beginning that also opened up contracts. so i been doing them for the past hours and now the contracts in the anvill has been resumed...

I think the general concept is "feature focus" and "framing" so don't try to make everything pop I know I've made that mistake before, some of the structure should just be framing to point the eyes to a feature

I am 160 hours in, 3 trips to the DD and far inside so I had a lot of server changes.
-> No issues so far in DD.
-> 2 game crashes because I personally overloaded my system
All the game time was fun, worth it and I personally had very few noteworthy bugs.
In my books this is a very polished and fun game and I am sorry that you don't have as much fun with it as my friends and I have with Dune.

One thing I will note:
Framing your negative review as a "public service announcement" is still really unfair and toxic towards the developers.
If you have problems, which you clearly state it is totally ok to voice them and give a negative review, but I also think you are making your review more "important" than it is given the amount of players having little issues and a ton of fun.

I hope your issues get resolved and you can continue with a fun time in Dune. ^^

maybe they look like they're placed on it, but in reality they're connected to this wall. it happens with penta shields, if you see a gap between shields where they connect that means a shield is placed on a slightly different grid than the other shields. without seeing your base in more detail tho I can't know the exact issue

i can just say that i've never seen pieces actually connected to foundation pieces to break if you remove any other piece

this was our first pillar base so bit experimental but we basically made foundation pillars up to platform, then pillars that are walled in for custom tech pillars

Upside to the top pillars is they're hollow so I made a rat maze 😐

One fun thing is if you got the full update version, you can make bookcase/library pillars

Nuu, atr got these like...diagnoal powerline looking thingies and steps that match, you could technically build around them being like the central roof but then roof has to be like ^ shaped in middle top

Eh, kinda. When I get bored in the late game, I sometimes do a full Rennovation project to make everything look pretty, but I still have a lot of content to do right now, so, ugly it is.

I do have a few clan members that care a bit more about the aesthetics, so, my bases right now aren't terribly ugly, but they aren't what I'd do if I had infinite building mats, and a flying mode.

Yea, I run on a 4090 at extreme everything, and I can absolutely tell when I get into rendering distance of a few large bases all at once. Super common hitting the shield wall from the DD. Get a spike of 40-60 FPS before back up to my 144.

Why one earth would you make the "Time-saving" featured be the PRESS and HOLD option? Press and hold should be to "open inventory" not "Take all". like, christ, it makes everything take longer. It wouldn't be a problem if the spacebar quick-take was able to switch between the pieces in the loot window you get when looking at a corpse/chest, but that's not possible afaik.

the initialt 10-15% is plenty, points get scarce fast at level 2-3 so getting that last 10% is just not worth like 7points each

Like the trooper gun dura and mentat armor dura is 15% reduction for 1 point each, so 4 points total for 15% dura wear and max dura wear in weapons and armors

it is then 7 points each to imrove them from 15% to 25% so that's like 28 points for 10% in four duras
