My main problem is the creative side, I cannot visualize the look of a base

Start with a foundation, build how big you want your inside space. Then build walls, try to mix it up, use the more protruding walls on bottom as a "foundation" then less at the top. Try to add breaks in between, for example I used the pillar wall ever 3 regular walls so it didnt just look like a flat wall

orni with storage is fantastic but 100% get a buggy with a decent cuttaray and a friend to sit in the turret and just drive around hitting nodes
Mk4 cuttaray is half the yield of the Mk4(or Mk5 whichever one can do Aluminium) ray for the buggy
big storage on it so you can just come home with 100s of ingots worth of Alu

there are Harkonnen and Atreides building sets available for 80,000 solari from respective faction vendors. To unlock them, you need to fully join a given faction and then purchase them from the vendor. You can purchase at level 1, dont need to rank up with faction

Keep in mind they require Plastone and not Granite so if you dont have access to Plastone, no need to rush to spend your solari

No. Just one of the crappy things about public servers. People are going to try and own resources. I am in the same spot on our server, but my base is just built over it. I don't try to control the water.

good news, the resource nodes will shuffle literally every week so that part doesn't matter - dew is also pretty abundant and 1 patch can sometimes fill an entire literjon with plenty to spare

bigger issue is people blocking major travel routes ie. the east-west tunnel passage on the north side of the Hammer

You can easily pull 100k of water in a single pass from the field in that particular SS. Far as I know, its the largest dew field available and its pretty jackhole move to seal it off. Yay for private server.

Yeah, you need to visit O'odham for the plants. They can be found scattered around. Recommend using a Scout Orni with a scanner for easy scouting
