I’ve seen some talk before of the better items to get on each character and things to look for to get. I was just wondering because I would like to play other characters, but I feel like I struggle with everyone except Mediator. So I was just kind of wondering what the play styles are for the different characters and what items I should be looking for. Thanks!
#“Optimal Builds”

I meant search up the character 😭
in here
cause they post their screenshots you can see what item is good
Oh I see
Optimal builds are to get crit whenever possible. Onhit items are good with ranged characters. Always get damage reduction or evade whenever possible. Attack speed is life.
Hvc is perfect for clear, don't get more than 30 of them.
Get damage whenever possible.
Invest in vertebral for health. Red pill. Health upgrades when attack speed or move speed isn't an option. Base damage is for when you get double base health.
If you don't want to do crit, go ignite with triads with protocol and hvc ignites and spark, then stack Eli strings
im interested in this build you mentioned, can you please elaborate more ?
Spark, protocol with ignite triad. Its a build that doesnt require crit like everything else
Hvc ignite triad is also good to have for clearing, and eli string is your damage
Another "optimal build" is related to artifact purchasing if you make a new save file.
Buy all purple items to force their spawn rates in Delta as they have the cost efficiency to only be double the price of a white item yet are worth 30 forge material.
Only buy juju and heat concentrate from yellows. Ban hollow talisman every game... it is trash. Depending on build, heat concentrate is for hvc ignite triad, you can ban that after buying one for the triad so you can always pick juju as an option for every yellow drop, since swarm pendant is the only other option.
Alternatively, ban all yellow items if you want no yellow items to drop in a game and have it spawn purples instead.
Of white items you should unlock regardless of build: bane seal, rune of rebound, adjuster, injection, spark, cannonade, opal eye (same as red pill which modifies base damage. This is multiplicative with elemental modifiers like eli's if you didn't know), protocol 2.0, yellow pill, first impression, eli's string, flash, protective mark, ember mark, bulwark.
Argument makes a good argument of its' viability and unlock it if you agree with said argument, heh.
Trye
another super epic optimal build is to just play echo and hit the dummies from here while you wait instead...
realistic efficacy of getting 90% damage reduction means protective mark only gives 2% per upgrade since it maxes at 90% with 45 of them.
67 gives you 97% crit chance which is 100% with the base 3%, where as 46 is 94%, meaning you wasted 21 upgrades on only 3%.
31 upgrades is ideal for most items as it degrades efficacy to 1/5th at 1% from the 5% base, while giving 80% total.
This basically means that outside of crit, damage reduction, and dodge, where you would want 46, all other items don't provide much cost efficiency by going over 31 upgrades.
