To answer your question though, it depends. EX1 doesn't need any coordination, and you can just follow one good player and do your rotation. EX2 has somewhat easier mechanics to resolve than EX1 but requires some more personal responsibility and collaboration.

I feel bad for one of my friends. He went totally biased into Endwalker, then was mad after he finished it because no one agreed with his opinion about certain stuff that happened. Then rewatched a lot of the cutscenes again and absolutely loved it. First time experience got absolutely ruined, because he didn't pay attention to what was actually said and the entire themes

and I even told him before Endwalker came out that he shouldn't go into Endwalker with "This will never be better than Shadowbringers" or immediately hating on certain characters because he didn't like them in the past

It was basically Alphinaud and Emet Selch all over again where people go biased into the next expansion and don't give these characters a chance to develop because they previously hated it for some reason

i went into the expansion with "Its gonna be just as good as Shadowbringers if not better"

and holy hell i enjoyed it

I honestly had only 2 criterias in terms of things I don't want in Endwalker and gladly both weren't in the final product:

The first one was turning ||Zenos into Emet 2.0 ||
And the second one was|| permanently killing off a main character that most people love just because it's the final chapter of a story arc.||

imo the second one is so cheap nowadays because everyone expects it

Shadowbringers was the best opportunity to|| kill characters like Thancred because their entire story arc was done at this point. Killing him off in Endwalker would have felt very wrong and out of place imo||

||Fandaniel (Amon) wants to trigger the final days. Zenos just does it because he wants to have an epic fight with the WoL and wants to motivate us to fight him with all we got.

Zodiark protected the planet from Meteion due to his aether. Meteion has always been the cause of the final days. Amon just helped her and removed the shield that protected us from her by killing Zodiark||

for the other stuff regarding ||her sisters|| just keep playing
