||One thing I did find a bit weak myself was all the harping on being long lived, especially when the various species arent stuck that way and can still choose to let go and especially when this very planet had not despaired because the Ancients chose to interact with less long lived things and had dynamic and pleasing work to do in taking care of the star.
I feel is a limit on writing because of course we regular old humans think it would be terrible because our lives are short and mean and when we go we're old and decrepit. We cant really fathom long term stuff like that. For a naturally long lived being though, its kinda like The Good Place where when you feel like you've finished, you can just leave. No need for despair.
Also: just because something bad happened to various worlds didnt mean that the people before didnt snatch their share of contentment and happiness, just like us. But for some reason that seems to get pushed aside as irrelevant in favor of how they died.||

For the dragons, they just gave up and chose to wallow in sorrow rather than find something to be joyful about.
The Ea, they were given the chance to impart their knowledge, with races that were curious, even if they didn't like what they found themselves.
The Omicron never thought to give themselves any directive beyond what they received. But, yes, all 3 races eventually decayed into nothingness.||
