I kinda feel like this is a seymour Simpson meme. Where there like I'm not out of touch it's the kids that are. It seems to be a real forum post. And that the dude believes what they said.
There should be replicas of each step, but yeah I don’t believe the base law’s order are dyeable
I've seen enough mmo communities over the years to 100% believe that post was real and that gun was unironically outraged.
Its just an extension of "You don't pay my sub" mentality.
why is it so ugly
Even if it's not real, that's a legitimate sentiment expressed by some in the community in this heckin channel
It's like a streetlamp decorated for Voidchristmas
That's really mild for a forum hot take.
There are absurd takes in the forums on a daily basis
don't threaten me with a good time and not deliver the goods!
choice quotes
9/17
Hedge you'll die
huh, do the rest of them?
I THINK SO, oh my god I noticed that the first and second models did
Fuck me this is like the first time all Model steps are based on the AF armor
Nice soul patch
The only good bard relic is the Gandiva
Bard relics are so horrendous.
the lux one is pretty good
Artemis Bow is cool
Laws order one is dope
Why can’t we dye the replica laws order this game makes no sense...
I don't think "DPS essences should be easier to obtain" is the worst forum take ever
judging by how few people actually use them in DR, it only seems reasonable that they actually should be
skirmisher is way too rare
How much easier do you want the motherfuckers to be
like lost bubble easy
maybe not that easy
easy enough that most players both have them and feel comfortable consuming them, as a start
"people are fucking lazy" story of the world my friend
And for the record people don't use them in DR because they're stupid
Wdym essence is hard to get ???
People are just dumb
Like it can't get any easier
and lazy, and cheap, and arrogant, and...
@soft gyro ugh, bsf worm
wat
so i gotta farm bozja stuff
sadly i don't think the game tells you at all how to get them items
cuz they do research
Ye, just follow people who do researcu
dumb brain like me is dumb
Grab a warrior, find someone can heal you and dps aoe
Voila you farm like 150 /hour now

the game does
You want more, get a party of 4, split farm worm and spider. They are literally next to each other
maby it is also beacuse i don't read anything

You want pure essence ? Farm the rank 3 4th division with the same method for huge fucking amount of cluster
also experimenting does by killing random mobs since you should be aquanted with doing so in a area
too boring
Well there's your problem. Read ya shit
if ya aint gonna read dont be complainin
Like my brother, there's mob that kill themselves to drop fragments
nah yall complaining, not me

It could not get easier
People are just dumb, that's why I never get anyone to join my PF for fragments
i mean i would say that you are wrong, but..... yeah....
its why i always never join a party for CLL or dalriada or any ce
i mean dalriada with small amount of people is easy
aight time to go to bozja and farm some worms
Grab a friend
wow, you expect too much out of me

hard part is zoning in
You dont need a healer to help you, anyone with savior and lost cure 2 could probably help
I'm a black mage healer
I fart and heal then everything dies. Great success
does gunship work as well?
no i meant the enemies
the magitek mobs dont drop fragments
They drop cluster iirc
correct
If you want essences and actions you kill regular mobs. If you wanna spawn ce's or get clusters you kill magitek mobs
yeah i can't solo this, took me 4 minutes to kill 2
must be cause i am probably bad at war too
Also, get the memory relic step up
The one with colorful memories red, blue and yellow
for want of a memory?
The mob drop memory at decent rate
I dont rmb, but the one with 3 memories, 20 of each
do you have whm leveled and a essence of the templar?
Farming Bozjan is faster than farm fate for relic, profitable
i have 11 deep templars and 18 normal
Also wait at the worm to see who come through , some might go there to find a war for farming
It was my best solution because shouting doesn't work. No one cares smh
bloodsucker and nascent lets you pull a bunch and just chill
^
I - why wouldn't you join one, exactly
you get healed and rezzed lol
i always go as a healer so i heal myself
join a party anyways so you have a chance to go profane then??
even when I heal I always join a party for cll/dal/CEs
why would i go profane? im not gonna stunt my healing when i could keep my healing and do more damage with aetherweaver or ordained with chainspell
if i wanted to play a dps i would just play a dps with beast essence
Irregular or bust
Bloodsucker and Beast could be easier to get ya. They only drop from Castrum.
or a dps with cure
beecause profane is absolutely broken? why wouldn't you go profane
profane is not broken
you do more damage w/ profane than with aetherweaver
Anything from Castrum, Delibrium, and whatever the Zadnor instance is called should be made purchasable with clusters.
Yea and i can still heal and do more damage by doing aetherweaver
and can do more dps by just going a dps role and giving myself beast essence or using lost cure
fuck healing
you're a green dps
then just play a actual dps
I still have to add it how much more metal I need for honors but this is everything I want to get done before 6 .0
It is quite the grind
wow, this is fun
its so fun to see all the heals popping up
and then an enmasse of fragments drops
Doesn’t seem too bad
It is what feels like a realistic goal while still being a grind really I just want to get samuari, Dragoon and White Mage completely augmented
You know I feel like the Magus Sisters might be like Calcabrina where we fight the trio in the initial stage of the battle and then Lunar Asura in the second phase. Since Lunar Primals don't actually require the Echo, there's no real reason why she'd need to be a trial.
Especially if we can down Lunar Bahamut with our Scion friends and a little dragon assist.
Thavnairian aesthetique Asura would be p killer,
o-oh
i may have to go shower now
well, little dragon assist, is tiamat
and the scions are more powerful than any faction leader, tho idk about Hien power compared to the "new" scions after all the first thing
idk about more powerful than any faction leader, their abilities vary widely
Thancred is definitely several steps below the Warrior of Light, for example.
Raubahn has the ever present it would be different if he had both arms type deal
Pretty much, and the other Scions with maybe the exception of Y'shtola and the definite exception of Estinien don't really have more than some general talent in their respective skillsets as far as we're aware.
I could see that, the threat of tempering could also justify Anima being a full Trial later if she is the core of the Garlean Tempering as has been speculated.
Though personally, I think we’ll have Magus Sisters as a full dungeon boss and then they’ll summon Lunar Asura as the first trial.
My problem is that I just don't see how Lunar Asura is A. more of a threat than Lunar Bahamut and B. connects significantly to the overall plot of the story. Which is why I'd prefer the slot go to a trial that has MSQ relevance, preferably so much so that they haven't shown it to us at all yet.
that joke of estinien having to nerf himself for the dungeons to think of the other scions is funny xD
Frankly, if Anima is one trial, then the other two trials should belong to Fandaniel, Zenos, Zodiark, or Hydaelyn.
No amount of interesting mechanics or nice music and aesthetics would make me feel less let down by wasting the slot on "this was in FFIV so here it is."
A. Would have only just been summoned and would not be softened up by Tiamat and Estinien
B. Would have story relevance if the Magus Sisters were, say, major Npcs in Thavnair before getting tempered and made to act against us, summoning their god as the last and mightiest of the Lunar Primals for us to fight.
A does not teach us anything new. We already know Lunar Primals are a threat and not being softened up by Estinien doesn't change anything we already know about them. B, well, it's Thavnair, even if it's relevant to Endwalker in the MSQ, I don't think it really deserves to have a trial more than any of the Ancient zones we've seen like Mare Lamentorum or the floating isles.
Though you have a fair point. And they could just as easily have Anima be the first trial, and save the others for more central things.
Such as
1: Anima
2: Zenodiark
3: Cause of the Final Days (or vice versa for these latter two)
After they messed with the placement of the second trial for story reasons last time, I'm hoping, legitimately hoping, that they just do not adhere to the idea that there HAS to be a trial 3 levels in.
they said the final trial is something we never seen before right?
Did they? I don't remember that at all.
I think all we’ve heard concrete about the final boss trial is it’s not Fandaniel
I do still hold to my old theory that every X.0 final trial is something Optional from earlier games
it was something other people been typing. I know about fandaniel not being it.
You may be thinking of the Silvertear presence or how the raids have been described to have original enemies
Feels like a semantic thing. The final boss is always a character already built up in the story beforehand first, and happens to be an optional boss from past FF games second.
when it comes to silvertear presence i already know they soft retconned it and had a concept art for it.
I mostly wonder if they are gonna use that concept for the final trial instead
I agree, but currently the only stuff I have keeping my speculation from baselessness is the foundation of existing games
Because otherwise I have a dartboard of possible final bosses labeled “Zenodiark” “Zodiark aka Innocence 2” “Hydaelyn” “LavosTM” and “Nothing but the pure sweet fat of the Zenos”
Add jenova
Honestly, if anything were to happen to take it away from Zodiark or Hydaelyn, it'd be Zenos combining himself with whatever caused the Final Days.
Jenova fits under LavosTM
Know what I just hope, though?
A part of me almost feels it’d be fitting if the cause of the final days was the second trial and the last trial was then still Zenodiark
This is kind of a weird thing to hope for but I would very much like Zenos, however we fight him, to get his own, unique, and iconic theme song that isn't necessarily just a straight remix of the Endwalker themes. Preferably with vocals. Give him the "One-Winged Angel" treatment.
Because Endwalker looks to already be about the consequences/aftereffects outlasting the initial threat
heres my take, i dont think zenos, or some fusion of zodi would be final trials.
I'd see that more as the 89 trial if anything.
Make Lavos final days presence eat Zodiark and hydaelyn then fuck off to Mars.
You get Worm’s Tail 2
Or just give him a remix of the wol theme ?
That would be nice though. The original leitmotif for him.
Phase 1 Tempest, Phase 2 original theme song.
The only issue is that if we have Zenodiark be the 89 trial then the Final Days Instigator leaves to another realm to be the 90 trial, then it’s basically a Shadowbringers redux
(This is "Tempest," it's a battle remix of "Meteor" which is Nael and Zenos's shared leitmotif) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DX3qIf4EDc
Thanks to Gorb and his group for providing me with this video, since I couldn't beat Turn 9 myself. The intro scene is recorded from my PS4.

Because you kill the apparent final threat only for the real cause of everything to remind you he exists and goad you to come after it elsewhere
Mix up maker ruin with some garlemald shit.... nah it will not work..... unless.....
No. The final boss needs to be something that we've already been given knowledge about directly.
I’m not disputing that, I just don’t think it’ll be what Scree suggested
Ahh.
Final Days instigator doesn't work unless a character is grounding it. This was the problem Zeromus and Necron have.
If Necron was a form Kuja took, it'd have been a better final boss for that story. Still kind of dull but understandable.
Because that suggestion is essentially:
Vauthry = Zenos
Light = Zodiark
Mt. Gulf = The Moon
Hades = Final Days
Tempest = Mars
Mars? What.
heres my take, i dont think zenos, or some fusion of zodi would be final trials.
I'd see that more as the 89 trial if anything.
MakeLavosfinal days presence eat Zodiark and hydaelyn then fuck off to Mars.
someone disagreed with me that ardbert and emet was gonna follow us around most of shb and guess what xD
I mostly said the last bit in jest.
It is impossible to format on mobile dear lord
I realize the last part was in jest but the rest sounded serious, sorry
Nostradamus over here. Anyway, my reasoning is mostly faith in the writers to know what'll make an ending satisfying instead of "oh, well, I guess cosmic entity happens."
Mars ? From golden sun ?
...Mt. Gulf
Three days until computer is back, three days until computer is back...
You know? Like, people say Lavos or Jenova mostly jokingly, but really that would be the worst-case scenario for a Final Boss.
Lavos works in Chrono Trigger because they established the Day of Lavos in the first act of that story. And the whole story is focused around averting it.
the only part serious was zenos and zodi fusion not being the level 90.
Unless they juke us and give us a second 8.0 trial.
I was one of the Lavos proponents but I thought it’d be the overarching threat for expansions afterwards. I agree it’d be unsatisfying now, since they seem to want to wrap it up completely this expansion.
And Jenova may or may not even have her own will anymore, and is probably more a commentary on how humans use and interpret power for their personal ends.
Sephiroth buys wholly into the idea that he's Jenova's son, and Jenova is an Ancient, therefore humanity is the enemy, but he's actually the son of the person he has the most contempt for in the world and Jenova is a horrible alien parasite.
Partly what id been thinking, that future expansions would involve seeing how other civilizations and peoples react to the real Final Days after the recreation through Zodiark is gone.
Obviously that won’t happen now.
Rom you and me both have similar thoughts on Zenos boss music and how his phase 1 should def be Tempest
the bets thing they could do is Aliens.
or a Return of Allag
Sephiroth's delusional, basically. Which actually is one of the interesting contrasts between him and Zenos. The latter is definitely mad, but he's got no illusions about who and what he is.
Rom have I told you of “Sephiroth is Tyler Durden”
It's also the main contrast between Zenos and the other villains in the game, who are all on some level deluding themselves into believing a lie about how they can and should control the world.
Knows enough to see that the world has issues. Proceeds to turn to violence and narcissism in response instead of actually trying to help people, becoming a culmination of the society that made him in his attempted rejection of it.
Zenos has no interest in control, just wants to satisfy his own desires and refuses to take an interest in anything beyond himself.
Zenos also arguably fits this pattern, though not as clearly
That's pretty good.
Technically speaking rom to play devil's advocate. Each expansion has a rising act a middle act and a finale act. That I have faith whatever the end boss is wont just be thrown out of nowhere.
I know, but the endboss is always something established to exist beforehand.
Well we did hear a sound at the end of 5.55, so whatever cause it is established
With exception to Nael, being the first villain and therefore incapable of having the same degree of build-up, we have Gaius (and Lahabrea, if less directly) seeded in 1.0, Thordan and Nidhogg seeded as early as 1.0 and 2.0, etc.
we are gonna get one winged angel i promise
All I know is one of the plot points they shoved down our throat is "what caused the final days?" Whether or not it will be the final boss who knows
What was the field of the last Fandaniel ?
Maybe he was a miner and wanted to become the drill that will pierce the heavens
Fandaniel is Earth element in XII...
zenos eats hydaelyn and gets a single sin eater wing
DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN
please don't
My personal theory is he researched the soul mind and body.
This led to fandaniel inadvertently causing the final days
I don't think the previous Fandaniel will be immediately important if my theming is correct.
That is my theory
you want to know a theory that i saw that seems wayy to weird?
What he and Zenos have in common is being unbound by the past.
mwhahahahahaha
They have no reverence for it, nor are they concerned for the future.
And while this obviously makes them both contrasts to everyone we've met, be it Ancients, Ascians, or Scions...
It also means that any amount of backstory spent explaining that "oh, Fandaniel is this way because his past life actually caused this" just undermines him.
It'd be like if Azem was the only reason you did anything.
“Venat will fully eject herself from Sharlayan’s artificial sun and possess Yotsuyu’s corpse”
Fandaniel's contempt for the unsundered and "moldering memories" should signify that whatever the former Fandaniel was, he doesn't want to be that.
The only words we have from that guy are "bring honor to the seat of" and our Fandaniel is most certainly not doing that.
Elidibus is the exact opposite of Venat despite being the heart of her respective primal
Which is weirdly poetic
idk about exact opposite. Elidibus and Venat seem similar more than different, really.
Yeah my guess is the Fandaniel we know is much more based on his present self (or perhaps the absence of his present self) compared to his past self.
Well maybe the former fandaniel was a fan of vtuber, i could understand why he would want to die
Asahi is just Fandaniel’s Vtuber Avatar
But ya. The whole point is fuck the past. Live for the moment in one grand finale
Seems stupid
Sound fun
But it doesnt stop having dumb theories. One of the big things was explaining shards and past loves are not the same people. Everyone experiences shapes them differently
The one thing I'm concerned with is how they are going to top this finale afterwards through new stories, what could possibly be more entertaining or big as the entire world being destroyed
Destroy the universe
Ah
By detoxing the story
Just bring the stakes back down a bit. Pull it back enough to build up to the next high.
Yeah, but will that work?
Or becoming the king of pirate when we go to the new world
Absolutely, yes.
This is story telling in a nutshell
Well in story telling this would be the end and the book would finish
The only people it doesn't work for are people who are thrill seekers and only want ever greater highs
Works decent enough for most fantasy games with well-received sequels
And that’s why those people are the final boss of this expansion
There's a lot more we could go into and if they keep the same quality story telling then its fine
The next expansion will almost certainly be lower stakes than this one, but it will probably still have stakes and be engaging
Well I'd hope so
Or we can just Tigtone it
I'm more interested in fleshing out the entire world, that being Meracydia and the New World
“No Stakes? THEN I WOULD PUT THE ENTIRE WORLD AT STAKE!”
6.1-7.0 are like 99% going to be like ARR2
They will be far more grounded down to earth
My guess is Meracydia for 7.0. Or maybe Eorzea 2 assuming EnW doesn’t serve that role
From the moon we were able to see somehow the new world and meracydia but we didn't see the whole star and it will be quite a waste to just discover than the rest is just water
Leviathan: “From the bottom of my heart, my bad”
We arent able to see the full design of the new world and meracydia. The concept art of the moon. On the planet there is a north america USA section looking landmass.
Yeah
And on it there is a florida. So fantasy florida man exist
Man. Imagine if we just get to do small chores again
Like killing bandits. Escorting people. Delivering jewelery
new players: "i dont wanna do these chores, when do i fight bosses"
ew enjoyers: "when can i do chores again"
no same i agree
Heck
I'd also be down to everyone not knowing us. Like us going into hiding
Like oh shit it's Eikon ender, Godslayer, Ender of Lines, Slayer of Ascians, Feller of the Garlean Empire... AKA; Warrior of Light
"we bear their scorn or watch them die"
scions have to deal with pretending they killed wol so we can be normal again
6.1 WoL Retires
still not a full year after their adventuring start
Late reply but having the stakes constantly upped and upped will exhaust potential antagonists very quickly, i.e. how wow did that with legion and bfa
In the span of legion and bfa they got rid of: the burning legion, the extremely op leader of the burning legion, the naga, an artificial old god, a real old god, the emerald nightmare, and more
all of which could probably have been expacs of their own, but due to them rising the stakes constantly they exhausted all of them in the span of 4 years, it'd be bad for ffxiv to do the same
WOW wrote itself into such a narrative corner that it had to completely invent a new dimension to fill an expansion, it'd be nice to have a good lull in the story, maybe deal with some just pure politics instead of Another World Ending Event
stealer of pants
I feel like Meracydia could be a fitting continuation. Have them try to make a move or request aid after the final days harms them further, motivating us to go over
eorzea and the world has had some wild shit happen in the span of a year, it's okay if they give us a bit to take a breather and put together the pieces again - especially since a shitton of garleans will be displaced
when was the last time anyone heard anything from meracydia
May help to explain why tiamat is absent in the EW trailer - she goes back there and tries to unfuck things
We have the plot hook of Tiamat returning there with her remaining brood to rebuild just from this most recent patch
in Shadowbringers we were technically saving the Source as well, but it never felt like that, it always felt like we were savin the First despite being complete strangers to it
they could have 6.1-6.3 be resettling of garleans/repairs after the final days, and then the rest of the expac be setup for meracydia - there's probably some weird shit going on there
they can do a story about saving Meracydia or the New World from whatever threat that doesn't threaten Eorzea
Zenos helped with that, killing his father
I've thought about that scene, because it should've played out the exact same way in the original timeline
but in the original timeline Elidibus had Emet-Selch, so my guess is they teamed up to take Zenos out
and then probably just possessed Varis to carry out the Black Rose plan
you just hang out at costa del sol after finishing up a world-ending threat, and the next patches are just you doing various beach activities
garlean restoration lets go
that's what the moonfire faire is
okay, so is it mentioned elsewhere how the Diablo Armament came to be? i read through its page in the records but is it implied that there is more than 1 diablo?
it is an empty vessel
... it says in its documents that the Allagans made it
but probably has some info from diabolos in it, just not diabolos itself
so they someone managed to replicate some of his magics?
The records are more implying there are other Cyborg Voidsent Vessels around, but there’s only one Diablo.
And yeah they were all made by Allag as alternatives to Ultima
My guess is they used some of Diablo’s flesh or aether or something as the material for the Armament’s organic components, so that the physical body would be almost identical to his full power once he was bound into it.
I don't think it's empty, they probably put some other voidsent in there or they cloned diabolos for it and it gained sentience on its own
One vague thought I had was that whatever was left of Diabolos’ soul went into the Armament after he died in Dun Scaith and laid dormant in there until the present
I have no real backing for this beyond it being a possible interpretation of the in-fight dialogue
ehh I doubt it, I didn't get the impression from the field notes that it was planned for diabolos' to... willingly inhabit it
so I doubt diabolos knew of its existence, even
it does say that they included the bonds they used to seal tiamat and the other dragons in the construction of the armament
i forgot but was he sealed or just hanging out in amdapor before you came in?
The mages of Amdapor sealed him within the Circle of Dreams during the, well, the Battle of Amdapor, which was the final major battle of the War of the Magi,
Considering his ultimate plan and how he was able to utilize the Circle for what was apparently his own ability (Diabolic Gate) shows it, prob wasn't as much of a cage as they thought
I'll say it again, did not expect Bozja to end with a Shadows of Mhach callback
--and yeah I'll consider Lost City of Amdapor/Amdapor Keep to be parts of Shadows of Mhach, they effectively are
Same, honestly.
Really fun moment when I ran Shadows of Mhach with my newbie friend and he was like "Diabolos is back!?"
Diabolos is gone
when i first saw that thing, Diabolos was one thing that crossed my mind, but also a bit of Ultima from the last Ivalice raid
they did a mhach callback and still managed to encapsulate into a huge Ogre Battle reference
The allagans just decided to do something dumb and create a weapon around him
that's rad
As allagans do. 9/10 of their creations are hyper dangerous world destroying weapons, beings ect.
The part where the Armament was able to break Ultima proof restraints,

then again, an entire Weapons series designed to be better than Ultima Weapon
--of which there were only 4 models, but still
it annoys me to shit because the notes are like "weeeeell maybe it rivals the ultima weapon in power idk" when it very clearly does
Allagans and World Destroying beings, weapons or voidsent match like tea and cookies

also, is there any speculation around how we are going to the moon? have not done any research but wouldn't be surprised if if was with the void arc and that that whole raid series would be a mandatory thing like with crystal tower
Ancient Allagan ships
it's always allagan unless proven otherwise
Also the part where it was named the "Diablo Armament" bc you just know "Devil Weapon" ended up on the cutting room floor
The void ark was not meant to leave the atmosphere soooo we'd kinda suffocate
The void ark was VERY unsealed and open to the air
Like it's not meant for space travel
The Mhachi Ark was just an airship, yeah, essentially
yeah, now that i think about it, there is that whole area where you fight those morbols
ogre battle spoilers ||the final boss of ogre battle is diablo and the final quest name is march of the bloody queen just like ogre battle's subtitle is march of the black queen||
idk why people forget how open the void ark was
i just saw big dorito ship and for some reason thought it was the void arc
There's like holes and open things everywhere
Even on the first encounter with the water ray
im sure the ironworks guys can seal that thing up
You're gonna need like 200 metric tons of glass
we literally land in the void ark through a hole in the outer shell and have to do poison control in one of the open ventilation fans
void ark looks extremely different from the ship in the art, anyways
why did i think it looked like a dorito? I know i have seen that image before
because of the endwalker art?
looks more like a USB then a Dorito
Again. It's likely gonma be an ancient allagan ship
there's a theory that the void ark will take us to the moon but I don't buy that
I'm betting on a ragnarok class, or at least something of a similar shape
Since we saw what looked like allagna ship/ruins on the moon
we literally just talked about why that won't be remotely possible
ok
So thw allagans TOTALLY have/had space faring capabilites
100%, they got dalamud into orbit after all, and probably had to travel back and forth
yes
We're not using the void ark lmao
Have you seen the bit with sicinius in Bozja, it kinda explains why he was taken to bounty hunters
void ark is some side story stuff that isn't related to the msq in any way
at least when it comes to right now
don't bring it up, they literally just talked about it, so you cannot bring it up again
ok good
Basically, Sicinius experimented on captives when Gabranth decreed that experiments of any kind are forbidden unless the subject's safety is assured in every way. And Sicinius just went and did some wicked shit. So it explains why the last field notes are showing Lyon and Pagaga giving him out to bounty hunters
what you said was completely ignoring the conversation that just occurred
he had it coming
I still believe Gabranth used his research on transferring memories to vessels in order to bypass his deadly disease
9 months after the battle of Zadnor
The other part is how Noah's notes are incredibly sus talking about Lyon's accomplice and gives the sense their identity is unknown and coulda been a body double
...then Lyon's notes just say it was Papaga.
Like you can't deny that is 100% allagan tech/design
But lets get to the biggest red herring on the field notes; "the six months later time skip"
What do you mean it was pagaga
oops wrong reply sorry
oh the accomplice is pagaga, right
Papaga on the MOON
--I assume that was for me, Lyon's notes mention the accomplice to break him out of gaol and go with him to Castrum Valnaini was Papaga,
For sure, but frankly I doubt that they'd just casually spoil the way we got to the moon like this - tbh it kind of reminds me of an escape pod, wonder if someone or something escaped from dalamud before it entered the atmosphere
well, if there is ever a beastmaster job i hope lyon and pepega are in it
I was sayin' how Noah's notes about the incident are vague about the accomplice, and with the whole section about if his death was real or not, gave me the vibe that Lyon entered with someone else, and left with Noah
yeah for sure it makes sense now
oh nooo. The USB stick with recordings of bahamuts aether. This is fine. It just crashed on the moon. No one will notice
still, I think it was his real body, but no one has seen his face so
Tbh it reminds me more of one of the keys of Dalamud.
9 months actually, 6 months after is Lyon's jailbreak and Noah's assassination, 3 months from that is Sicinius' turning in by Lyon and Papaga
Yes, those are space ships
Ah! Major misunderstanding on my part then. I assumed that they were just used to seal it, rather than also transport folks
iirc they were used for both, to keep the prison sealed and to get dalamud up there
Well I wouldn't be surprised if one of the ships got yeeted at the moon by bahamut breaking apart dalamud
Though Lyon served six months of his sentence,
Then, three months after the fall of his former legion,
yeah that's what I was thinking, seems more likely than that thing in particular being how we get there
Im not saying that's the ship we use
Zadnor concludes > Lyon is blamed, charged, and imprisoned > 6 months > broken out, kills Noah > IVth crumbles > 3 months > Sicinius is turned in by Lyon
It was then that events took another unexpected turn, as the Beast King Lyon—taking extreme umbrage at being held responsible for the IVth's defeat
I don't believe it, clearly a setup
he snuck into the chamber where Gabranth lay wounded in the dead of night.
this one is weird, it's saying he was already wounded before Lyon came here
the provisional government approved the repatriation of the vast majority of the IVth's rank-and-file soldiers as free citizens, electing not to try them for their crimes on the battlefield.
I wonder if Gabranth did this so his legion wouldn't fight to the end and be destroyed
never said you did
I'm more saying the allagans probably have a space port
So this can be consider canon
A launch pad for their space faring ships that we just find
And go hey cid. Wanna spray paint a ironworks logo on this perfectly good ship?
In some ways, I believe Gabranth had achieved a kind of egalitarian society in Bozja, though he's not leading it
Cid: oh boy, would I!
I don't know if the idea that they would implement some of the imperial laws int he constitution to happen in every routes of Zadnor
See I think Noah's turnaround mostly, if it did, came from Bajsaljen's copying of IVth Legion tenets into the new government, seeing Bozja reborn into his new nation and, just... letting it be
--but yeah I am sus as fuck too
Remember. If we don't see the body they aren't dead
At least, his laws seemed to have had some form of effectiveness to the point that Bozja effectively couldn't ignore what the IVth legion brought
6 months for the disease to claim him is accurate, at least. Basch fell incredibly swiftly

--presumably, at least.
I wonder if it was Basch in the armor
if they could have preserved his body
not like they have DNA forensics anyway
i wonder how old was Basch van Gabranth when he succumbed
ngl the culty vibes from a lot of the IVth are still super weird to me
didn't siscus found a way to mass-produce copies
They really believe in Gabranth, and it seems like a lot of people really turned their life around under him
The IVth legion is all voluntary conscription, so it seems they wanted to be a part of it.
and it's the only one that wasn't racist about it iirc
whereas other legions would only accept them under huge bouts of merits that garleans didn't have to go through, either that or it was forced
Watch them be the same person like the Ashe situation
wouldn't say that, all they've said is that it's the one legion with the highest pop of non-pureblood garleans

afaik Gabranth is not pureblood either
hes not
and maybe the only non-pureblood to achieve Van status in the military
most of his legion isnt of pureblood afaik
from what we've seen in Bozja, it does fit
Gabranth is also ruthless but I still believe Bozja was a freak situation under menenius
it all went to shit fast because they really didn't want to disappoint their dear leader
Originally Yotsuyu was the highest ranking non-pureblood and now it's Gabranth who's about as high as you can get without being royalty
very much not a big fan of how they tried to humanize menenius at the end there, tbh
So Lyon must had a alternative motive for capturing Sicinus
And yet, he could not simply order a complete withdrawal, lest the Eastern alliance immediately swoop in and attack them from Bozja as well as Doma. Until such time as they were able to muster their full strength in Dalmasca, they had to hold strong on the Bozjan and Nagxian fronts.
This was the task entrusted to Menenius—to preserve a stalemate here and buy needed time by whatever means necessary. It was not a glorious task, but it was one the tribunus accepted willingly.
To this end, Menenius devised multiple stratagems. First among them involved employing the legendary might of Save the Queen and its powers of tempering. So it was that Misija gave her life for the cause, delivering a great blow to the Resistance.
It does seem everything that happened is just Menenius wilding the fuck out on this one
no? dude was a piece of shit who did experimentation on PoWs and other nasty stuff, lyon hated him
Highest military official we've met who is not pureblood is, well, the Gabranths, but after that is Rhitahtyn and Menenius,
Yotsuyu is the highest public official we've met, but Acting Viceroy still isn't terribly high
but still a genius

what does that even mean lol
"oh yeah this dude committed horrible fucking atrocities but he was super smart"
As he considered this, Menenius realized with a sinking feeling that his suspicions were on target. Here in Bozja, so long as Bajsaljen occupied a position of leadership, Noah's ultimate goal would be realized. But what of Dalmasca? More populous than Bozja, and with its various factions far from united, the future was far from certain. Knowing Noah, he doubtless already understood this, and had already deployed a pawn to guide Dalmasca in his desired direction...
oh what
Gabranth wanted this?
Garleans only permit testing/experimentation on live subjects if safety is guaranteed or if it'd save their life.
Noah van Gabranth. Young Noah, who Legatus Basch entrusted to him, whose life his father-in-law Lucius risked his life to protect—was this all Menenius could do now? To loyally assist as his legatus threw his own life away?
Lyon assured him that Noah's mind was already made up. Still, Menenius could not fully accept it. Is this truly the answer?
Sinicus was just an absolute dick.
oh nooo you're dying. Time to spike you up on meds
So basically Menenius acted out of line?
that went out the window with aulus and his hypertuned, huh
Yeah, Basch is the reason Menenius is a Lanatus, Lucius married Menenius's mother out of Basch's urging
Tbf, Aulus was also under the table, Zenos specifically picked him for it, but he kept that shit underwraps while he was at the Imperial Magitek Academy
But it helped Noah significantly so he or Lyon, kinda turned a blind eye. That's why Lyon so quickly turned him in
I mean... do we know that gabranth knew,
Iirc no?
not sure gabranth would approve of what sicinius did to dabog
I'd agree
What am I reading here is that Gabranth was really interested in seeing how the resistance leaders would act after the liberation of their lands, and that Menenius knew he would be satisfied with Balsaljen's leadership
or what the other guy did (llofii's ex boss) to magical creatures like the monoceros
-wait where's that phrasing from
Menenius' second field note
Young Noah, who Legatus Basch entrusted to him, whose life his father-in-law Lucius risked his life to protect—was this all Menenius could do now?
Mess up as he was he did produce results, yes he had to answer for his crime but he was the only person who could save Noah and if I was Lyon I would take that chance to use him then dispose of him after.
...Father-in-law isn't, the right wording for that.
Lucius wasn't his in-law, he was his stepfather
Sicinius was turned it 9 months later, he probably outlived his usefulness if Gabranth had plans for him
oor lyon told him that shit and gabranth told him to go do it
Menenius didn't marry into House Lanatus, his mother did
And his first note says Lucius adopted him so he's just, a son of house lanatus
alot can happen within those months, namely the last 3 months.
In the IVth Imperial Legion, testing is only permitted upon living men when their safety is absolutely assured, and be it friend or foe, all individuals are to be treated with compassion. Thus has the legatus himself decreed. Perverting his commander's noble intent for his own ends, Sicinius reasoned that he was saving a man's life, and proceeded with his testing in secret.
clearly says Sicinius acted against Gabranth's order
actually shit, wild theory time equips tinfoil hat gabranth was into memory transfer and stuff yeah? maybe he transferred himself into lyon or smth
Sinicus: stabbing 24 diffrent serums into a mans beating heart "Yeah I'm saving lives baybeeee"
It's probably in Zadnor when he expanded his Dabog project, yeah
"Saving" Dabog is one thing, converting every hrothgar PoW is..... y-yeah
If you do the skirmish with the dabog clones sicinius basically says he vivisected the original dabog after the duel
I think Gabranth knew the IVth legion was done for after going rogue
the lack of supplies coming from Garlemald would have done them in
Me, still stuck on being bothered the note calls Lucius his father-in-law:
A few things I'm still wondering, though:
-
how did the IVth get their hands on the dalriada,
-
how did they know where the DA was buried
for 2 they had archeological expeditions
lets not forget the two other relics
I figured it was kinda implied that the dalriada was originally in the hands of the XIVth to transport ultima, so how tf did they get it lol
The reason they moved their forces to Zadnor, esp the Dalriada, was for the Armament's excavation, yeah.
Garlemald already had experience from excavating Ultima in Ala Mhigo, yeah.
...or the XIVth did, at least, but I mean Aulus's Hypertuning had also moved out of the XIIth
It's like calling a tow truck for your car
For the second one, maybe there is a bozjan record of the DA being there?
You know the tow truck is made to help a car. So if you need help. Why not call a tow truck? Why call a tug boat?
Oh yeah that too, it seemed Allag intended to test it on the early Bozjans, so maybe Zadnor was formerly its laboratory site, but then the Fourth Umbral happened
all the DA notes say is that it was buried under zadnor potentially with the intent of razing bozja with it by the allagans, and that there may be more like it buried there - doesn't say how they knew, tho
Hmm.
man it would've been neat if we fought the DA in some wrecked subterranean allagan lab instead
It remains to be seen if more such weapons lie buried beneath the plateaus of Zadnor.
Tbf, this phrasing moreso means they haven't ruled out there being other weapons under Zadnor, not that they know there's others,
Just spitballing here, maybe there was a escaped armament.
I'm mostly mad we got no Dalriada lore, like a ship that unique in design???
Scathach Armament: Please look forward to it.
clearly a newer model
robofuckers finally get their time to shine
The IVth is oft regarded as anomalous and eccentric among the Empire's legions, and with good reason—for it is the only one to count a greater number of foreigners than native-born Garleans among its ranks. This includes the legatus himself, who has made it his policy to accept any and all capable individuals into his company. So long as the individual in question swears loyalty to the Empire, the IVth welcomes their contributions, regardless of race, gender, or country of origin. Ability and results delivered are valued above all—a true meritocracy. Gabranth applied a similar philosophy to the provinces under his rule, eschewing the traditional Garlean approach and tailoring his style of governance to suit the people of each individual region. Emperor Solus found this most admirable, though it is said Emperor Varis was far more skeptical—believing it a sign that Gabranth harbored lofty and dangerous aspirations ill befitting his station.
It's so funny Solus was cool with Gabranth's approach and Varis, as always, just said no
Prima Vista has an EE2 entry saying a Bangaa was able to be sent to Garlemald to work on it, and is one of the few beastfolk privileged to do so
like I was hopin' for similar on the Dalriada orz
Tbf, Solus prob did bc it'd likely sow chaos down the line
Same man who funded the Prima Vista's troupe that went on to make a lot of anti-military works
Solus was a Odd Ball and a fan of the Theatrics
Where the Empire abhorred the onmyoji─often based on misguided principles─Gabranth saw untapped potential, which is why he offered Yamatsumi a place at his side. The Doman fugitive was understandably apprehensive until he came to learn of Gabranth's goals to not only reclaim Doma from the Empire, but ultimately build a prosperous new nation in Dalmasca. Gabranth was not at all the cruel, callous imperial Yamatsumi presumed him to be, and his earnestness proved enough for the onmyoji to pledge his services to the IVth Legion.
Huh, Gabranth was going to reclaim Doma from the Empire too
which I assume was before Doma's liberation by Hien
Here's a hella rough drawing that's partially a meme.
-
The daldria comes to check out the Armaent in the ruins
-
The Daldria picks up the armament and stores it inside to repair/study
-
They repair and study
-
The Bozjans fuck shit up and Amrmament breaks loose making the platform fall and the ship be on fire.
I am a r t i s t
i...i saw something else
Explain
is the purple thing DA?
forgot step 5, where the DA says fuck it and flies up through the dalriada and nearly casts pseudoultima
Oh lemme draw that
As he considered this, Menenius realized with a sinking feeling that his suspicions were on target.
Any idea what Gabranth's pawn in Dalmasca would be
Maybe he actually did die and entrusted his legacy into someone else
Punish Gabranth
Venom Gabranth
art.
The more I read it and the more I think Menenius and Lyon already knew what Gabranth wanted to do, and it involved Gabranth dying
but he had a plan that did not involve his rebirth, and Gabranth was very interested in learning what the resistance leaders would do after they liberated their homelands
I can't make sense of it, but it does seem Gabranth was not just a lying bastard about his dream of an egalitarian nation
and what happened in Bozja is fucked up, but it was Menenius getting so desperate he decided to not pull any punches. I wonder if Gabranth approved of his actions
Honestly their research division are a bunch of mad scientists, it doesn't make sense Gabranth didn't know they were doing cruel experimentds
All in all Gabranth is an interesting villain, we hardly see him but his sphere of influence is so wide, you get to know him through the people who loves him
and the fact that even Bozja leaders intend to implement imperial laws is proving he's not just a stain they can excise from their land
and while his dream of an egalitarian nation is betrayed by his actions, it does seem there is some truthful intent considering his own legion is diverse and accepting everyone regardless of age, race or origin. And that a lot of working-class & poor people seemed to have been better under him
I really hope this is not the last of him. I'd love to see an Ashe/Gabranth struggle. Restoring the old monarchy vs Gabranth's idea of a new nation
technically speaking Gabranth won Bozja in a roundabout way. With Bajsaljen using bits and pieces of the 4th legion government.
The man who sold the world
We see what seems to be fairly convincing evidence that life in Bozja really was better for a non-negligible number of people under the Empire.
Gabranth (both of them) were not entirely wrong in what they did.
What do you mean
The issue is that the Empire is a mess and they're ultimately serving a vicious colonialist government. But they really did help people like Misija (and Bajsaljen, if you read the notes - the Empire arranged his education).
i mean they do take on the beliefs of the empire but they arent exactly tied with them
My crack theory is its Ashe somehow
Gabranth is Ashe?
Also I don’t think Gabranth is truly dead yet, but he’s working with Lyon to purposefully “die” as a martyr to his cause so he can control the narrative around it, without it catching him by surprise.
mostly a reference about the fact Man who sold the world can be interpreted as someone selling the world a lie.
That Ashe is Gabranth’s pawn
hmm
Or at least is the person he has trust in to make Dalmasca fit his ideals like he believes Bozja will
There's no lie though. Baj is pretty open about it
was more so referring to Gabranth
Gabranth is the enemy of the Ivalice region and surrounding territories but he seemed very concerned about how resistance groups would impose their laws upon the liberation of the land
as in, he expected these lands to be liberated at some point
and he seemed to have wanted for them to implement his plans for a more egalitarian society
which Balsaljen did do
it is even possible that his death, real or not, was to push the IVth legion to stop fighting in his name and end up being exterminated by resistance groups, which did happen, two thirds of the IVth legion ended up surviving and I think a lot of them were made citizens of the free territories
I don't know if he always planned it that way but Gabranth seems to have sold a lie
to what purpose, I don't know. If there is even a purpose about it. I don't think he is a good personl at all, but he seems at least he wanted to more insidiously federate the free lands into a similar banner of people living more equally
maybe the end goal is nefarious, I don't know what to make of it yet
At least his bigger issue at hand was Dalmasca, and he knew that they would not be able to implement anything from him considering the various factions that would jump at each other with the power vaccuum left in his wake
and I know he has a plan for it, maybe even in death
and I think this plays into Ashe coming back as the last surviving member of the royal bloodline
I really hope they continue this
Gabranth becomes the real Undying
The Ghost of Gabranth
That's almost some MGS plot
Maybe it was his way of having a fairer world in the same way the scions attempted to have one for eorzea
But with him as being seen and interpreted as the common enemy to unite against
Then again, you see him in the final cutscenes with relics so..
He had 30+ years to make a entire generation grow under him and prove his rule was better, so it stands to reason that if some aspects of his rule was working, liberated nations would not be able to pretend we can just bring back the nobles to run over commoners like in the past
This Cold Steel is Best Served Repeatedly Until The End Of Time

I have that string of text as my search info.
I love traumatizing SB launch players who open up my search info
TL;DR clench your fists, lean back, and scream Matsuno to the heavens.
I could tell what this was and I didn't even experience this
I imagine if it would it could eat us in a instant
I don’t know. I’m kind of stuck on Yoshida pointing specifically at Death Note. Says to me that there’s some sort of mutually beneficial thing going on.
Would be cool if reaper spells chewed up your mp
Give reaper specifically SB era Dark Arts
That's what the Avatar is
It's just dark arts
noah
Rammbroes?

Would be like SMN quests, going around and researching Xande and allagan experiments with voidsent
But I do think at the very least Xande will be mentioned
sooo like astral chain then?
never played it
good timesssss
disgusting
actually, I don't remember seeing any voice credit for that cutscene in the 5.55 credits 🤔
I wonder if they left her uncredited so people don't figure out who the character is
the credits include scenes from the cutscene that occurs after the credits roll though
dont have to reveal the character if you put them after the credits
whats the difference
minfilia 3.0 for extra cash shop glamour value
she ded
ardbert was individually credited but we know he's a fragment of the PC
PC now has a voice through ardbert
PC ?
I wonder if that's why the WOL has gotten smarmier in the newer cutscenes
player character
the player isn't the only WOL, so when you're referring to the player you have to be specific here
I mean PC has to deal with so much shit
they need therapy
we fought like all the primal twice
saved a whole nation and a race
established peace between Man and Dragon
I want to see in the end of 6.3 or 6.3 someone will ask us to do something, fight someone again. We will just say no, I'm going on a vacation
deal with your own shit

Lmao
this is one of those times where it really doesn't matter what I have to say, isn't it
"Is it Garlean Monday again ?"
or is it Primal Tuesday
oh no, not Dalmascal Wednesday
and PC will say it with a dead inside tone
seems more like a 6.0 ending thing
I wonder how stupid the wol is in story
what do you define as stupid?
6.0 prediction
the WOL seems to understand everything perfectly fine, since they're often the only person who can explain what the fuck happened in echo flashbacks
they're just mutes because self-insert
they are muted because no voice acted
wol's intelligence slightly banks on what jobs you have leveled honestly.
If your scholar you know everything while when you play warrior you can only hit and smash ✅
But really wol intelligence would increase the more jobs they have leveled because of history from those jobs
but WoL in the story just learn everything as seen in ShB
Wol is probably pretty smart though
so WoL in the story is really smart, they master all job
Yea maybe not super politically smart but they understand what’s goin on
they at least know how to read
I mean, the WOL doesn't have any interest in politics other than "who do I have to punch"
They're almost an engineer
So, streetsmart?
That’s a good way to put it
more street smart than book smart but still pretty book smart
Wol basically turns on the news once a week to get a basic jist on how the world is fucked
The Warrior of Light invented the Bio Blaster and Air Anchor
They did really? This confirmed in 80 quest?
WoL leaving the smarts to the smart people
I guess all post 71 job skills are wol originals?
all the mch abilities post hw are made by wol iirc
Yes you created those yourself on the First
ye
Nah the turret transformed into that on its own
WoL
master the blade as a SAM
master the shield as PLD
master the dark art as DRK
master the tech as MCH
master the black art as BLM
etc
Or at least that's what Yoshida said. He said think of it like the Little Engine That Could
they are probably smarter than most people in Eorzean
yeah, drg is basically all WOL innovations
WoL also mastered like half the lost ninjijutsu arts
they also master Red magic
wait, we believed in the turret and it got stronger... shit rook autoturret primal confirmed
they also control Bahamut Egi and Ifrit Egi
estinien can't teach you anything you don't already know, he just does things with more punch because he has a whole-ass first brood dragon powering his weapon
Eorzeans probably has no idea wtf is happening outside of their city state
oh ye, they also read Tarrot cards of Astrologian
Estinen would be a terrible teacher
“Ok so look I yell super hard”
shadow clone stardivers
come, nidhogg, we are needed
We need our own pet dragon...
DRG Ninja, bunshin stardiver
Just a small dragon pet we can king with
Idk anything about monk
Something something unlock 14 chakras
course not. They aint the azure dragoon
Some chakras are bad news
don't forget they can forge any weapon that is not relic
WoL can probably write better song than the Minstrel if they want to
not all of em, wiedargelt is teaching a shitload of them in ala mihgo
Epic
both light and dark chakra schools because he absorbed the two catgirls from the dark chakra school
Wait those cat girls are dead?
We also got a bunch of WARs and SCHs being trained at maelstrom
in 6.0, WoL will master the soul of Reaper and the technology behind Sage probably
Marauder guild basement has a bunch of catgirls being trained with the pistol
that's slightly different
They’ll form a solid pact
the musketeer guild is unique to limsa
Am I the only one that thinks the sch lore limits what the job can get
Military tactics so cool
being tied to nymeian magic?
dont see how anything in their lore limits the WoL's version of sch
Scholar is literally Sun Tzu the job.
just as keikaku, the job
All I have are 2 dinky fairies
One faerie with two aspects, but like, why is that a problem?
Lily is the name of your fairy
Is it lmao
Yes. Eos and Selene are its two aspects
I thought the name of my fairy was the name of my fairies...
Oh my god.
Limiting to wat it could get gameplay wise my fault for not explaining thoroughly

They live in the soul stone :D
cool sch skills
We have broil 3 and summon seraph what else could you want
It looks better wachu mean
Nah that’s cap
anyway i doubt sch is gonna get any flashy attacks
I wish it could
Flashy dps skill they could press would be so based
Broil 2 is still way cooler then broil 3
They said all jobs are getting something flashy
summon seraph is their flashy
In endwalker
summon seraph 2
Paladin got Wings, and that's not stoping them from confetti
They need a flashy dps skill and flashy aoe
Ruin 2 and energy drain needs new animations btw
On the topic of animation updates, bloodletter
Bard animations are very samey
i wish Art of War wasnt just Aura Blast recycled
Yea that’s pretty disrespectful 😭
could have been something cool like a bunch of tonberries stabbing in unison at a spot
Aura blast?
How does it only have 1 aoe skill
aura blast was a pvp skill before it was repurposed for SCH
just wait for the level 90 skill
everyone's rancor, scales in potency based on how many players are alive
doink
It's just gonna be a bigger floor slap if aow gets an upgrade
Deals physical damage with a potency of 220.
Additional Effect: Potency is increased to 450 when target is stunned
At this point, tonberries' predilection for sharpened knives is well known. By manipulating aether to harness feelings of resentment, one hones a keener blade for driving into the heart of the enemy. Naturally, being beset by this attack while unable to move is a uniquely harrowing experience.
Tonberry King / The Wanderer’s Palace
Type: Physical
Aspect: Slashing
Rank: 4

they should have used the whiter animation instead of aurablast
Ok give scholar a new mechanic called stratagem
Idk what it would do but I saw scholars have it in ff11 so I wanted to sound cool
we have that. It's called chain stratagem
deployment tactic
!action deployment tactic
also, gravity is better than AOW, change my mind
Scholar could lose a lot of skills and get mch level rework but idk if it will get one
Lightspeed gravity exists so yea it’s better
SCH was originally designed for alot of synergies within its kit
but they were all slowly removed because surprise surprise
the synergys were goddamn OP
yeah
I wouldn’t mind if they just removed the synergies
Then it wouldn't be sch QuQ
member when lustrate was 25% HP restored, instead of a fixed potency?
we have the current SCH now where its synergies are forcibly made anti-synergy
so it feels very janky to play
but it was changed because it was way too good with cleric's stance and war's huge HP pool
for example Seraph disables dissipate
but you don't have to stand in melee range to use gravity, AOW doesn't have a stun to justify its range 😔
You do have to stand in melee for holy though
they really said "Sch gotta be nerfed they too stronk"
it was pretty ridiculous in Stormblood
im not saying it wasnt
I think they should remove the rest of the synergies from the kit and make it more fun
But I know sch vets wouldn’t want that
I’m selfish and only want job changes that make me happy so dont get too upset
yea. SCH is the bigbrain job where your skills interact with each other
if i just wanted omega heals, i would have gone WHM i feel
We already knew that
DW about it. we all want different things and thats fine
Scholar lore borin where big dragons
You dont even know the lore
thats part of it
Im scared of sam changes i really like sam rn
I wouldn’t be scared
the OG scholars before us were the miliatary tactictian division within the military arm of the nymian marines
i would :)
Not that I'm too knowledgeable about game design but I feel like eye-open is going to change
Yea that’s why it’s skill effects are so lame
A lot of jobs are reaching the point where they will get too bloated
sam will use their scabards more to fight
i mean i can think of one way to free some slots for some jobs >.>
Yea especially for monk
I could easily free up like 5 slots for monk
10 was a bit much
nah monk needs their combo's separate
Not what I meant I love the combo structure on monk
I personally want another gcd added into their combos no idea what it would do tho
i think SCH has the most buttons right now so they would be the target for a skills prune first i feel
🤔
my sch hot bars are a mess. Its the only healer where they are a mess
Paladin definitely could get pruned gnb too imo
did everyone forget about drg?
Astro bars on my character are a fucking mess
Pld is fine and drg is fine
it's so jarring playing like, fucking mch and there's like 20 open slots on my hotbars
if they prune i hope they make lower level easier for newbie too
while my drg bar is 3 rows of packed horseshit
ikr. when i play Dancer, half my slots are emtpy
drk getting another aoe at lvl 72 doesn't make sense
Lower the levels of melee aoe please...
Astro bars are beefy too
I don’t even have undraw bound
Because it simulate a normal player behaviour
can't wait for them to do the blade of light thing again in 6.0 final cutscene
Blade of light+ dark hammer kills the Sound source
gotta bring keening, sunder and wraithguard
we have fought primal of the Moon Tsukuyomi
when can we have the Primal of the Sun Amateratsu
Thank you Zadnor
Yoshida was asked this, and said that they determined that Amaterasu would have overlapped too much with Lakshmi in design.
ah
Hingashi expansion when
booba primal 2
There is still the Island to explore and alot of Othard left too
I'd rather see more of Ilsabard, Meracydia and the New World before we get more of Othard
i would've loved to see terncliff as a whole area with aetheryte
one of my favorite maps in the game
Old sharylan seems to kinda feel similar in the trailer
Old sharlyan is just hinterland copy and paste with repaired building and infrastructure
The Sharlayan Colony doesn't have an entire harbor
I do find it interesting that there are now so many Sharlayan zones to explore. Old Sharlayan, Idyllshire, Dravanian Hinterlands, Labyrinthos, and Eureka. I kinda hold out hope that we will get one more Sharlayan zone that is outside the city proper and not underground. I want to feel like we have the whole country. Not just one city area.
It could be an instance anda a world map location. They could just be separate.
RIP. Amaterasu would have been cool.
why would one fight the same boss twice

Hows your loot? did you get the field notes for both Lyon and the other guy?
if i recall, 99mil is the damage cap
Oh yeah I've gotten all the notes in Zadnor and stuff
Just need BSF now
I still need memelord and Dyunbu
Memelord
Yes.
Honestly another mount drop or two from DA and Zadnor'll have paid for my future Mist medium
The raptor mount is from the lockboxes, right?
wait there's a raptor mount?
Iirc from the airship raid
Can confirm its dalriada
Dalriada ye
OH OH OH.
so. thwe twins' dad. I know who he reminds me of.
does anyone remember how much of a dick this guy was xD

in DRN speedrun parties
what essence does a tank use?
10/17
Irregular and martialist
with one tank, being the MT?
Yea p much
Gonna have to recommend you take a break
Hedge what the fuck
Also fuck this timeworn step so much i hate it so much
I still have 180 more to go
I'm not touching Delibrium again until I have 50 Chainspells and Flare Stars

Go to sleep
I'm not gonna do the timeworn step until they nerf it or buff the drop rate. I just can't subject myself to it like Hedge.
farming timeworn is easier if you're also farming raw emotions
Premade parties where everyone brings dps essence and actions and you basically have like 20 minute runs
15-20
I wish you could queue for DR from inside Bozja. It sucks to use an essence and it falls off when you finish
Make dr queuable from df
What a chad
Well idk how jp does it but na servers have discords dedicated to bozja/eureka stuff
The grind was real
...wow that's a neat icon
looks weird against the red resistance info box but that's an really cool touch
Well....
600.000.000 mettle took a while right?
Yeah, took a while, 2 days i spent on notes and the rest on that
@lapis topaz
Can you still earn mettle?
Oh damn nice

"2 days I spent on notes"
i've been grinding lyon's note in castrum for a week
i haven't seen zadnor in a week i just want to go there
also i feel like i need to get these 15 timeworn artifacts first
Maybe i should check which note i miss, i don't have lyon and his bro part 2, that i know
What's the reward ?
having all field notes rewards you with the FFXII mount
hooooooo, don't care
no idea what it looks like when a 2nd person sits on it
it's different for every race
both for the driver and seater https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E3DM4CtUYAI0XgH?format=jpg&name=large
We can't get Pagaga emote yet right ?
need pagaga emote on bnuuy
Still waiting for pizza emote
actually i wonder if third party tools can make players do pagaga
what's the bike poses for femroe, same as elezen or?
matsuno said that lalafell are like this because they cannot scale the mount
so their arm joints are dislocated a bit
just dont let lalafails use it
Absolutely precious
Lalafells don't steer.
Steering is for the help.
Get an Ala Mhigan to do it for you.
all lala's are psychic. Did you not know that?
Introducing limited race mounts
Due to the fact lalafell are too small and we can’t scale the size of the mount correctly they will not be able to use this mount
Only Hrothgar, Roegadyn and max height Highlanders can mount a Dodo
Lyon note finally dropped from cll 🙀
I got llofii's notes after 5 days
I know how you feel
as someone with an Ala Mhigan character, the only steering of Lalafells that I do is right off a cliff
Good.
I wonder if we see a male viera when we go to thavnir
Like just 1 in some bum fuck cave area
there will probably be 1 or 2 msq npcs but i doubt any more
I don’t think there will be any msq ones
unless we get random bunny village in ilsabard like we did in raktika
They already said they wouldn’t do that
I just wonder how rare they’ll make npcs of them 😅
And how it would be contrasted by the huge amount of playable characters
i inhaled the catboy extinction gas already so im part of the problem
Those devs need to be hard at work
