So the damage bonus, yeah you get that. But SMN has no spells longer than the gcd, at all, in their kit. So the instantcast part only gives them mobility. And SMN, of the three casters, benefits the least from that. Do you REALLY need every cast instant during FIrebird Trance?
For BLM, you get actual cast time shaved off Fire 4 so it actually makes you burn through fire phase faster.

their is quite a difference between allagan tech and an unexploded ww2 bomb so that analogy imo doesn't work, allgan tech was for the most part was stored properly, the garleans just dont bother learning how to use things properly, or even if they should attempt to. meanwhile an unexploded ww2 bomb uses outdated technology and most likely left in mud through the various weathers - but mainly the technology is way better and can survive a lot longer, its a matter of knowing how or if to use it
