then itll come in the box
ugh
pre-order code is not with the box...
iT's NoT tHat HArd guys
- The Collector’s Box does not include a copy of Endwalker, in-game bonus items, or pre-order bonuses
- Please note, this product is not eligible for the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker Water Bottle Promotion
you should get an e-mail directing you to the store page with the pre-order code
no, they said they got the Physical Collectors that comes with the game
Well I mean honestly? yeah Coils and Alexander Savage are piss easy unsynced
so not the collectors box
T13 can practically be done solo if you know how to CD properly
I did Alexander 8 Savage with some friends unsynced recently and you just need to follow a specific order at the start and that's it
So if they make you do savage raids fuck yeah
i don't even remember if physical collector is an actual sku
it is
T13 can be soloed mindlessly with a level 70 healer
^
It can be soloed carefully with a level 60 healer. Basically do it on a healer.
so it's just called the endwalker collector's edition
paladin basically memed T13 as well at 70
during liveletter today did they say anything meddle requirement for the new patch?
If you're just wanting to know what you need to get into Zadnor, you just need the storyline completed so far (so at least one DR clear); you also need to have 5.4 MSQ completed. There's no specific rank/mettle requirement beyond that.
No. But you're gonna need to have done delerum to continue the bojzan story to get to the next zone
yeah have done all story so far
just wondered if it had level req like eureka back in the day
btw thanks for the quick answer
will there be a new super hard tier raid i forgot what they were called lol
Effectively, 10
not extreme or savage i forgot what it was called xd
Ultimate is delayed until EW
guys i’m doing the HW alliance raids right now and oh my goodness i’m in love with them never did before
gasps need to protect Soken intensifies
Ahh I really want Shadowbringers MSQ Ultimate
That's gonna be at least around 7.x right?
Void Ark and stuff? Those were always really solid
Unsure, really. They've stated before that they don't want the Ultimates to fall into a pattern. Although we've seen just that pattern so far.
yes i’m loving it! going in as drk
Void Ark's aesthetic was so cool overall, and it was great to see basically a one-off monster like Diablos, who showed up only in FF8, become a major player
for the first time ever i’m caught up and actually waiting for an expansion
And sky pirates too
Yeah, I think I just want an Ultimate fight against Unsundered Ascians.
Like, Emet (as Hades) + Elidibus (as WoL) + Lahabread (as 6.0 Savage)
suddenly the 'why does Soken look tired' stuff past couple days hit different
how do you unlock the 2 ultimates that are out now ?
i’m trying to be a completionist 💀
There are three. Clear O4S, O8S, and E4S.
o8s, o12s
wait no o4s
Not o12s
You can just spank those unsynced right?
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooottttttttttttt really
i’m not tranna unsync anyway
Did they talk about job changes this weekend or is that going to be discussed at a later date?
i wanna get the glamour and title the real way
o4s is a bit easier, o8s is still gonna reck ya, e4s is a learning curve
That will come in a huge live letter shortly before expansion launch.
gotcha
what is O ? omega ? from SB?
Yeah
Wait did Omega Ultimate release?
so O4s O8s and e4S?
I thought it's just UWU + Bahamut + Alex?
Honestly, start with e4s, cause that's the least 'nerfed' by gear. If you can't handle that, you're not ready for ultimates.
i’m on e9s rn
Yoshi P crying seriously
So far we have Unending Coils of Bahamut, The Weapon's Refrain (UWU), and The Epic of Alexander.
I'm personally gonna start Ultimate after clearing all fights in Eden S
Is UWU the easiest now?
I still kinda do need a BiS set to do Ultimates right?
Not reallllllly, the 'BiS' for each ultimate is based on older gear because they're synched to when they came out.
Right, I mean I was thinking if it's a horrible idea to try to do Ultimates without using SkS gear.
I just feel like I need to relearn all my muscle memory if I switch SkS
Holy shit Yoshi P was crying hard
Wait is the Fanfest still live?
No im catching up to last night
No it ended about five? hours ago.
I see
We don't deserve these men.
That last part of the closing ceremony though where Soken came forward with his health stuff is where Kawaiian is.
I'm not crying! It's raining indoors on my face!
Yoshi P called Soken his best friend
I'm done. I'm done!
Yeah that killed me

So like literally not just us but the development team entirely everybody found out at once
Yoshida knew. Probably Koji too. The team at large didn't though.
Yoshi-P described how he took over the project and basically laid out that they were going to be working outrageously hard, they'd be having to run FF14 under a tight schedule and it'd be a massive undertaking. He said that there were a lot of people who were uncertain or wary about it -- throwing yourselves into a project that had already essentially been a failure. Among the ones he mentioned specifically who were on board, though, was Soken
Soken was the first one to jump in yelling let's goooooooooooooooooooooooo
While crying
Soken's a youngish guy too, I thought? I actually can't really tell how old any of these people are since Japanese people seem to stop aging between 20-50 😄
While crying, that broke me
But I'd thought he was in his 30s or so
He's 46
oh god. i'm getting old. 46? I was like "huh. doesn't sound too old."
That’s still pretty young though 😅
hahahaah I'm 43
I'm 31. >,>
I bet I'm older thain most folks here
Soken and Yoshi-P are actually closer'n age than not. I wonder how old Uemetsu was when he started with FF1
They are great friends it seems like
Late 20s
Yeah just under 29
34
When the hell do you think FF1 came out?
FF1 came out in like 87
1987
And he was born in 1959
Uematsu was born in 59
Considering that journey that was saving Ff14 and even just working in the games industry.....it would be only normal for strong life long friendships to form
1987-1959 = 28
oh god
Hes getting old.....please dont take him away from us just yet
Uematsu is retiring from making full sound tracks
Homie deserve it in my eyes, so many childhood songs
Yeah, Uematsu's basically done. I liked "Hollow" well enough, but he's tending his bansai garden and also occassionally rocking out
Actually do the Black Mages still do anything?
Nah the black mages been done since like 2010
now it's the age of the Primals
Uematsu will show up for the occasional song/melody but full sound tracks he’s done
Uemetsu's keeping his health and that's fine
....but think of Uemetsu reaction about hearing about Soken health
Uematsu has always been my fav ff composer
In terms of a musical legacy, Uemetsu is basically unmatched. Only Koji Kondo could possibly be thought to be his peer.
for now
As a successor, nobody has come close to doing what Uemetsu does than Soken
Shimomura is too married to her style, as is the Dark Souls and Star Ocean guy, or the FF12/Tactics guy
FF12/Tactics guys
It's a duo., Iwata and Hashimoto
Soken and Uemetsu both simply cannot be defined by a single style, they leap into every genre of music seemingly at whim.
Look at FF9's OST for a clear example, or FF6
Also ffx music
you have: Opera, ragtime, ukelele-led Hawaiian tracks, samba and flamenco, heavy metal, synth-rock
All in one game, and all of it sounds perfectly in place
heavy metal
Otherworld
Otherworld is divine
Synth rock
Seymour theme
Uemetsu's legacy is really in just how much and many amazing quality tracks he could incorporate into a single OST while not losing its general cohesion.
love X's music :p
Soken, similarly, is even more willing to push boundaries.
It took me a while to actually come to like it because of how jarring it was but it is good
I mean, he put a Bollywood-style dance song as a boss theme, has been more open about using vocal tracks in general
Uemetsu's primary work was done when vocal tracks for video games were either impossible or not yet really explored well.
Same, i used to not be a rock person, but it grew on me over the years, otherworld was 1 among lots of others that got me a little into it
Yeah imagine uematsu had access to vocal tracks in game earlier
Uemetsu didn't really need vocals in his songs, but some games, like FF8, showed that he could have done amazing work had technology been there for it. But in a sense, he set a standard that you don't need to rely on lyrics to make emotional music.
"You're Not Alone" is incredibly impactful and doesn't need voices to tell you how to feel. Similar to "Rose of May" even though both songs can be set to lyrics to great effect, the effect remains without them
FFX's soundtrack was also a collab--a lot of it is Hamauzu doing the grunt work--this was back when Uemetsu was starting to bow out.
But god damn the mad man made dancing mad on a cartridge that only have 5mb for the entire game
I really need to play the other FFs at some point.
Uemetsu did 10 FF games, and I think he contributed to many other side games as well

1-9, 11, contributed to 10, and 14. But he'd left square around the time of 10-11
Of thoe games, not a single one has a bad soundtrack. There's no duds whatsoever. Arguments will rage eternal over which FF game is "worst" or "best" but it will always be true that ever FF games soundtrack is inarguably its best part.
It is the constant of the whole franchise, particularly for the first 11.
Eh ff5 is kinda a low point.
Duuuude what, no way
Greg’s theme
Yeah, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too tinny.

Some tweaks and won...
Battle on the Big Bridge is fine, but, if you compare with FF4 and FF6, you can hear FF5's soundscape has... issues.

Just naw man, FF5's OST slaps hard.
And I didn't even include the pirate theme, the sweet celtic village theme
I dunno, every time it hits a horn I can hear the canned nature of it, it hits its bass notes less well than FF4, it does feel like a step back
It's incredibly tinny, on an SNES which is doubling down on oof
I really like the SNES sound style though, it's not really any different from any of the SNES sounds then
Contrast with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENJL0y5_vKU which actually avoids being tinny using its horns--you can hear the difference.
Contrast FF5 with 4 and 6, directly--you can hear there's a... stilted quality to it.
It's hard to put my finger on it but it sounds like they took the sound samples and did something... weird with it. There's just something... off with it?
Did some xv or least ik for a fact he did a bit on the comrades dlc
Likely
There was a whole big thing about him doing the theme song for comrades
I r ded from staying up till 6
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp9kEAx1q1k here, like you can hear the instruments aren't stilted--they sound richer, like they don't cut off as suddenly...
It's funny how he is still very much kind of involved with the series despite not being a square employee
I dunno, I feel like "stilted" doesn't really apply to FF5. Again, it's basically more of Uemetsu, it's just got a less dark tone
FF5 seemed in general to want to go against the grain of IV and capture an older atmosphere too
Gba ff4 goat
Granted, none of them have world maps as good as FF3's theme
Naw, it almost sounds similar to how 80s drums sound different because of gated reverb, ff5 sounds like the instruments were gated--without the reverb
Contrast with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUg8rC9yu6U
Final Fantasy 6 was another one of my favorite from the serie. The fact you had so much different characters was one of it's best appeal. The music in it always stayed in my mind and fitted through the whole game.
Here's the overworld theme, also called Terra's theme.
not that FF3, I meant the original FF3
Dis wtf
wtf?
Stop being a boomer who thinks 3 is 6
I wasn't, I was using it as a contrast with FF5.
I can't directly compare FF3 cause you know, nes sound chip vs snes sound chip isn't like... comparable.
Also I made a shitpost last night cali
yeah what else is new dis
Yeah?
Did you get the vod?
Wasn't able to tune in last night; was there any more info on Reaper?
But honestly, it's just a matter of taste as to which is "superior", all of them succeed in conveying a varied and diverse emotional range and mood through a similarly diverse range of musical styles, often pushing the envelope of what was expected of game OSTs of the era
I'm of the opinion it's peak Uemetsu
Is there somewhere a recap of all important information of fanfest day 2?
I think that's a common belief, but FF7's OST is superior to 6's, and 9's superior to all prior imo
I think FF10 with its use of leitmotifs is arguably a magnum opus as well, though it was clearly a hard soundtrack for Uemetsu to put together
FF10 is more Hamauzu's deal though
He also went on to do Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey after retiring from SE
Uemetsu did some important tracks in it but, credit where credit do
I think that's giving Hamauzu a lot more credit than I would. Uemetsu is still chief composer, and his influence is all over.
you know the closing shot of the trailer, the moon is alot closer than our moon is to Earth
That'd be like saying Uemetsu should have credit for Chrono Trigger's OST, for helping Mitsuda here adn there
Chrono Trigger sounds hard like a Mitsuda sound track though.
wot
yeah
FF10, you can hear Hamauzu in a lot of tracks
That's because Chrono Trigger IS by Mitsuda.
the Earth is not that Big in the images on the moon
What else has Hamauzu done for comparison?
with Uematsu's assistance, but still mainly Mitsuda.
FF13?!
ew
FF13 has a few good battle themes and that's about it. The rest sounds like elevator music.
I bet he did Luca's theme song then, based on that knowledge.
Yeah, that surely helped enhance the music's emotional power
Yoshi-P crying after DID break me
What does it mean when cancer goes into remission?
Basically it means it's stopped actively growing/spreading
Besaid, the Boss Theme, Challenge are Hamauzus
Besaid? I'm skeptical, I'd need to look that credit up
I broke down from that announcement
It's going down, but like, they never call cancer 'cured', because they can never be sure it won't spring up again.
What do you do after that, do you take pills that will kill the rest of off?
Remission means you're 'done' with that cancer, unless it comes back later.
It's as good as we get with cancer.
Imma go and do Seat of Sacrifice while listening To the Edge
OH, so like Chickenpox and Shingles, in a manner of speaking.
Did they say what kind of cancer he had?
No
It's not really any of our business. My guess would be lung or pancreatic
If he smokes, like Yoshi-P does.
Prostate is also extremely common for men.
will revelation *** still be capped all summer ?
Has there been any word on what happened with the crystarium festival missing at the end of the eden questline?
My apologize, the boss theme was Nakano, not Hamauzu
Revelation yes, but it gets doubled to.900 later
yes, revelations will remained capped but raised to 900
All Cancer is terrible
Really, people should go study Square-Enix Music and their members.
will the weekly cap also be lifted for the third coin ?
They are not just revolving around Uematsu or Soken.
There's a lot of amazing musicians out there now though for games
The good thing is, the doctors will be constantly screening for it, so they'll be ready if it DOES come back. It sounds like they caught it early enough, so that's great!
All weekly stuff and tome cap doubled will be removed around 5.57/5.58
i’m just gonna take a nap until november
Christopher Larkin, Carlos Viola, both have made incredible OSTs for indie titles
Like this is Hamauzu--you can hear the FF13-ness in it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTwQYCjWDVM
Or just video game composers in general, they're all underrated

The Outer Wilds OST is so good too
A lot of people--not just active or previous cancer patients--have tumours that they don't do anything about because they're not growing, and because having them removed has the potential to cause more harm than it'd solve. And obviously it's very difficult to actually find all "cancerous" cells in the body.
And while chemotherapy is as targeted as it can be, like... You're still effectively poisoning yourself in the hopes that it'll hurt the cancer more than it does the rest of you, so you can't just keep doing it forever.
People like Tsutomu Narita (he even worked on XIV as an arranger), Masashi Hamauzu, Tsuyoshi Sekito, Naoshi Mizuta, Nobuko Toda, Yoshitaka Suzuki, Yoko Shimomura
all of these made up what FF is today
Chemotherapy is practically barbaric in terms of a treatment
It's effective, sorta, but it's a scorched earth approach.
And sometimes, the only shot you got.
Cancer treatments are slowly getting better, however!
It's like the bandit story in the Dark Knight: They beat the bandit by burning the whole forest down.
Soken made To the Edge on chemo, like shit
Yep
Ssslowly
Do you know what doctors, by and large, do when they get terminal diagnoses?
i'm currently in a SoS EX learning group because of this shit lmfao
They don't seek treatment. They'll just retire, treat the symptoms as to be comfortable, and spend their lives with their families.
the people teaching are doing it bc they were like 'wanna respect this good music by getting people clears' and us learning are like 'wanna learn to respect the work that went into it'
The man pulled out his own Limit Break 4 and basically said "For Victory, I render up my all!"
Obviously a younger doctor may not do that, but I'd heard that some time ago and I think it reflects an interesting mindset.
I do wanna say like
Absolutely celebrate Soken for doing this, but maybe be careful about lionizing that kind of behaviour in general
Soken is clearly very passionate but like
The idea that people should still be putting out their all for their job even when horrifically ill is not necessarily a good one
Omg they did the t-shirt guy dance for the twinning
I imagine a person with remissioned cancer gets regular screenings to check if its started to grow again, so they can keep catching it early?
tbf, it was his own decision and desire in this case.
@mighty light I dunno. It depends on what's important to you. Soken's not just doing it for himself, he has millions of people who love his work. It's a legacy and his duty to others. Death is certain for all, so it is better, if you ask me, to die continuing to try and serve others if you are able and inspired.
Again I'm not talking about Soken specifically here
My grandmother had checkups at first once a month and now it's like once half a year.
It's not just a "job" it's his career.
Tho it probably is different from person to person.
It's as much his legacy and his contribution to all mankind as well.
like if i had cancer, ill probably want to be doing something that i love to do
It's not like he's continuing to work at Walmart while dying of cancer. He's creating art that will outlive him.
Yep
Ngl I’ll probably cry when the credits roll on ShB
does anyone know when the trailer theme comes out
Probably with the rest of the ost
I feel like this past year especially has revealed to, at least me, that even if you can comfortably not work, it's not satisfying to live that way. Life is satisfying when we strive to serve things beyond our immediate selves.
Unless they make a recap video for EW Information to play the theme over it
I can’t wait to see all the new artifact gears
Many people who "hate work" feel this way because they understand or feel that their work lacks any real meaning or importance to anyone. Similarly, somebody who has a job which does have meaning to others can take great pride in that work, even if it is incredibly hard.
because at that point, it's not 'just work,' it's a passion
And passion is a word which means "suffering" funnily enough
I get the feeling Yoshi P had to be argued with for Soken to continue working
In the games industry it's very common for people to argue that excessive overtime, extreme crunch, and unreasonable deadlines are a necessary expression of "passion," though, and if one isn't willing to put themselves through that, they aren't "passionate" enough to work there. FFXIV's crew does not seem to be like that, but in the industry at large, there is absolutely a problem of conflating "cultivating a passionate workplace" with abuse. That is what I am referring to.
Absolutely, that's fair.
Exploiting passion si 100% a thing, absolutely. And Japanese work culture in all major industries does this a lot, as well as exploiting cultural hangups such as debt, guilt and obligation.
And you see shitheads like Naughty Dog abusing their staff to the point of mass quitting and huge, profit-hurting leaks. Activision too.
I think Yoshi-P bucks the trend though, he seems to really care about the welfare of his team first and foremost.
Even when it means doing things like reducing the number of dungeons they add each patch cycle, which was unpopular with fans, he made and stuck to the decision for the sake of his workforce. That's true leadership.
Part of it felt like a breach of trust on Soken's part. Given his circumstances and it'd be very against... well... lots of things and rules in a traditional/non-Japanese workplace
I will take quality over quantity every single time.
Same. Especially as I get older, and more and more games are released, I find myself growing only more adn more selective about what I put money towards.
2020 went by in a blur, six months are nothing
If I ever develop a game, I'm going to go full indie, at my leisure. I am not going to sacrifice physical and mental health for the sake of my craft.
I'm developing a tabletop game, since I can't program or learn how to program soon enough to accomplish my vision, and I also like that it's basically entirely at my own timetable I can work
Indies need to crunch tho, sometimes even more
But...deadlines really do help. 😄
A lot of indie devs work themselves into the ground to get things done and don't get anywhere, yeah
Axiom Verge's dev was basically near homeless for awhile
board or rpg?
Uh, I guess it's like board, like Warhammer, but on a hex-grid, and American.
And it took a LONG time for that to get out, cause you know, man's gotta eat
The fact that devs need to have therapy to get over crunch is disturbing.
Coolcoolcool
it does
it helped me a lot especially on uni
I graduated a technical college with an Associates in Web Development
People really do sleep on Technical Colleges.
Deadlines are very good, but deadlines can also become a hurdle if implemented poorly. With everything, good leadership is critical. And good leadership is rarer and rarer thane ver.
yeah true
Also, can we get an F in chat for Flash Games?
Lookit how bad Square got under Nomura, to keep it relevant 😄
balancing it is the way
Well, Nomura is....Nomura.
Like Lancer?
Nomura is the perfect example of an excellent lieutenant who should never have been made colonel.
*Yoichi Wada
Or er
Warhammer the fantasy wargame not Warhammer the sci-fi RPG based on a wargame
I'm not very good at brains; apologies
@mighty light The idea is to have miniatures/factions and turn-based combat like Warhammer, but with battlefields provided in supplementary materials to create unique and varied combat arenas. Like, you'd buy a book that's full of different battlefields that you can pull out and play upon.
I'm close to the point of commissioning some artwork for it, so if you know any talented artists, lemme know 😄
Red = go faster
Under Nomura
People really have 0 idea what Nomura actually has done at Square Enix lmao
He was helming FF15 for 7 years of nothing, and he basically was the creative authority for most of their projects post-FF10
He went from character designer to game director and he sucks at being a game director
Nomura is pivotal to a lot of what we love in Final Fantasy. His hand is all over FF6 visually
But... he's not good at setting deadlines and cutting through development hell.
he's a creative type and really relies on a business type to actually guide a project to completion
He was not the "creative authority" for most projects post-FF10. He only did some character designs for FF11, wasn't involved in FF12, didn't do anything but character designs and some mild background work on FNC for FF13. But FF15 is a bit more loaded than "Nomura did nothing for years lol"
kitase keeps nomura from wandering off the rails
arguable
no, FF15's got a lot of background stuff going on, management problems. The issue is that Nomura was management.
I bet yoshi-p with nomura would be a 🔥 project, yoshi-p seems to have a really good grasp of how to push his minions to excel without crushing them
FF13 Fabulua Novalis whatever, Kingdom Hearts, FF7 spin-offs
Nomura held huge influence and he was the one who was greenlighting and being greenlit for projects done. He's also a massive drunk who took years to do anything because he's an auteur, as was half the company.
The NoClip documentary into FF14 reveals a lot of this, albeit without naming too many names.
FF16 going to the MMO/mobile development branch is telling.
Used to like kh1 and 2, but after that it feels off the rails
Put important plot points on mobile game? No thanks
The thing with Nomura is he's not a low man on the FF totem pole, while he's not on the board of directors, he's one of the leads for the brand as a whole on the FF Committee.
KH2 was hot garbage, an incoherent mess of ideas completely divorced from its far more humble (if still very pretentious) origin. KH1 felt like a collaborations -- after that, it felt like Nomura's first drafts became full games
So some management problems and blow back can, and should, go on him.
Kitase has his own mistakes to answer for, tbh, but it seems everyone's gotten their shit together for FF7R
It wasn't Nomura's fault that people were directed onto Crystal Tools/Luminous to fix stuff, it wasn't his fault that FF14 hemorrhaged money from SE. Dude was a director, not the producer, he was still at the whims of Square Enix, which we saw with KH even having to switch engines by their demand. And FNC was a collaborative project, that he didn't even start. FF13 was mainly Toriyama's take on that mythos. The Compilation had Nomura's hand in it, yes, but he wasn't that responsible for the way it panned out. DoC was Kitase's idea, Tabata handled CC.
But stuff like Kingdom Hearts, TWEWY, Dissidia, things funnily enough, he's involved in, were successes. Even the FF7 Remake, which he directed, was a massive success.
Tbh the MMO development branch at SE for Final Fantasy is one of the most competent teams they have.
tbf FF7R really just needs to be high-graphics-fan-service and it's doing its job
not really though? they've been maneuvering yoshi-p into a larger role in the company since 2.0 launched to huge success and critical acclaim
it is literally the most well-reviewed FF since FF7 lmao
The combat director is doing God's work though
Nomura arguments up there with "Garlemald is good actually"
Hard disagree but to each their own
what come on the FF7R battle system is the best FF has had in years
Funnily enough, Kazushige Nojima was the writer for KH2
It's literally a culmination of everything that's come before
isn't 7R basically just XV's combat engine?
Honestly? Kinda worse because it's not as clean cut of an argument
No
with some minor tweaks to accommodate the "ATB" system
no. It's more like FF13 but much much better
In a round about way yeah
Then why does cloud feel like it was made by someone who hasn't played an action game since the PS1?
The best final fantasy to date is verum rex
The bros moves turned to ATB
It's not an action game.
The problem is people mainly attributing things to him that he had little to no actual part in. Which is what i take issue with.
The biggest stumbling block of 7R's combat is the brain-dead party AI, which requires you to babysit them a lot
Like hell it's not.
It's not.
It's an RPG. You can pause the game at any time and make choices.
Yeah
Same with FFXV
Did you forget it had wait mode too?
Yeah, FFXV is ... also an RPG.
It's an action game, and it's action combat system is so clunky that you have to say it's not to justify it.
They're both action games
lol its definitely an action rpg... u CAN implement 2 gaming battle systems together lololol
On one hand we have:
"OH MY GOD NOMURA MADE TWEWY AND FF7 AMAZING"
On the other hand we have:
"NOMURA IS THE REASON SQUARE ENIX WAS A SHIT COMPANY, I CAN'T BELIEVE HE DIRECTED FF13"
You can say that, but it isn't true. It's an RPG, at most you can say it's an "action RPG"
By what definition of "action game" are you going by here?
No, I can say it's an action game with rpg elements.
the thing is that nomura didn't make FFVII lmao, he did the character design
Because, it's not the same fn genre as FF10
he's credited for a lot of things he didn't actually do
That's literally the point i'm making
It's an RPG. Just because it isn't turn-based doesn't change that. It's less action-RPG than Nier: Automata
It's not. 'has numbers and equipment' isn't a game genre, it's a game mechanic.
I would not in any right mind compare FF7R to Devil May Cry 5
UHHH I WOULD
RPG isn't a singular genre. Like if you're saying that action-combat-games-with-stats-and-levels is the same genre as Slay the Spire, or that either is the same genre as Bard's Tale you're having a laugh mate
Why? I'll hear your reasoning.
Combat flows similarly. Requires adequate timing and skill to perform moves or counters
'Borderlands isn't a shooter, it's an rpg with shooter elements' is the same level of nutty.
so ff7r is dark souls
You think the same level of timing and skill in DMC5 is required in FF7R?
How many headshots does it take to kill a basic enemy? If the answer depends on your gun's stats, then it's an RPG.

MY BRAIN CAN'T HANDLE THIS STUPIDITY
I guess Call of Duty is an RPG
A shooter game is very well defined, the emphasis is on mechanical skill at aiming, management of ammunition and avoiding damage.
Every shooter in existance is based on stats.
CoD literally adds stupid RPG elements to its multiplayer and I stopped giving a shit after that.
The amount of headshots you need to do to kill someone in CoD is literally based on the gun stats
Every video game is based on stats, at some level, it's all math under the hood.
Yes, which is literally an RPG element they added to it.
THE FIRST COD DID IT
This is a genre of shooter referred to as a twitch shooter. It is not all shooters.
@visual spade It's been like this since like, Modern Warfare at least
yes, it's all 1's and 0's, this doesn't really change much
Call of Duty is the same genre as Final Fantasy 1 now, by that heckin logic
every game is an rpg
It's not like it rolls a dice every time you shoot a gun and it's damage is between 1 and 100
The first Modern Warfare didn't have gun stats, and it certainly didn't do it in the main campaign.
It's NOT like that. Every gun has stats.
It did, you just didn't see them.
Okay, to then they weren't relevant to the player experience.
ALL shooters have stats on their guns. Doom did!
Simple stat changed can change a game, look at what happened when battlefield devs changed the time to kill it felt completely different
I CAN'T FATHOM SOMEONE BEING THIS DUMB
If I shot someone in a head with a pistol they wouldn't die, if I did it with a sniper they would die. Guns had different stats you absolute dingus
Ynne
Relax
By your arguement here, every game is an RPG and none of them are.
No, we're pointing out that by YOUR argument, all games are RPGs, because the criterion you are using for an RPG are universal.
Okay, that's not exactly what I meant with the Borderlands comment though. You can have two pistols, and one shoots "harder" than the other due to higher numbers.
so you mean gun customisation?
that's how guns work in Doom... the first one.
Doom has 9 or so guns, which each accomplish different tasks.
A pistol shoots faster than the chain gun in doom.
Therefore it's an RPG
Because of their stats.
The stats determine how they accomplish different tasks
You get how the stat argument breaks down if you squint enough at it?
Some hit "harder" yes, but that's ... okay, literally you are confusing function for "stats". A high-caliber rifle will always hit harder than a pistol. That doesn't make it an RPG mechanic.
And how it ignores factors like gamefeel and how the game is interacted with?
function occurs because of stats
isnt the stats part also more a looter shooter
No, I'm actually not. I'm saying function determines genre, not numbers existing
Again, you are trying to reduce all variation in function to a "stat" game. Compare Borderlands to Doom original and you'll see how absurd you are being.
looter shooters have like, visible open to see stats but all shooters would have stats in the coding about how much a bullet from X gun does and how fast it can shoot bullets etc etc
It's absolutely a different game entirely.
The main issue is how you describe RPGs
Just Stats and equipment isn't an RPG
I didn't describe RPGs, you described FF7R as an "action game"
And you're trying to compare an action game with action interaction with a turn based rpg, which is MILES more different than Borderlands -> Doom.
Because it is one. And in the context of its combat system, describing it as non-action is, honestly, being deceptive.
You are limiting RPG to = turn-based, this is your reductionist point
No we aren't
Panacea, I think they're trying to argue that while Borderlands has RPG elements, it is still a shooter, because the emphasis is clearly on traditional shooter skillsets. That's why the genre it spawned is called "looter shooter."
Re: specifically Borderlands
Did they keep the concert on yt/twitch for those of us that went to bed?
I'm not saying FF7R isn't an rpg.
Then we're saying the same thing, but we're disagreeing on what the RPG elements are.
did for day 1 so they should have here?
borderlands do got them quests and stuff though which you usually dont see in just any shooter
If you think Borderlands and Doom 1 are doing the exact same thing, then you're being disgenuous at best
No we're not. We actually weren't disagreeing on rpg elements at all.
I said it's an action game, you said it is not.
You said it was because guns had stats
It's an action-RPG at best
Don't shift the conversation--you are the one who said FF7R was not something.
And I'd say it's a hybrid of turn-based and action RPG elements. It's less action-oriented than even Kingdom Hearts
Cool, i saw something about it being different since it was The Primals or etc.
It's not a hybrid of turn based anything--there's no turn based anything happening.
Oh maybe
Kingdom Hearts you can jump and platform and yoke enemies around, everything is performed in real time and enemies do not use attacks which can hit you regardless of positioning
FF7R is far more restrictive in that regard
It's an action game with action inputs and action verbs and action results. It's an action game. It is not a turn-based game with turn-based inputs and turn-based verbs and turn-based results.
kh3 and ff7r are both character action games
RPGs usually have keystones of making it a Role Playing Game.
Characters having specific skill sets or stat spreads.
Randomized loot.
Dungeons
Enemies with weaknesses and resistances.
A focus on story rather than combat
Exploration and Quests
An Inventory system
Exp and levels
Just like Bayonetta?
Those are RPG mechanics
these are things present in action games now too
"now"
I mean
We do have a term for this
Action RPGs have existed for a while
You're losing the plot fast here man.
yep! its a wide and deep genre
I haven't played Bayonetta but sure it's just a different kind of action
And there are MANY types of RPGs.
Turn based
Real time
Action
You are absolutely out of your mind if you think FF7R is in the same genre as Bayonetta
MMo RPGs
The point is, you claimed it was not an action game and therefore its gamefeel could not be held to the standards of action games, and I disagree.
Rouge likes
bayonetta has stats and xp
That's like saying Dark Souls is an action game.
Maybe Dark Souls 3, but Dark Souls 1? Nah
I mean, I assume Bayonetta isn't nearly as much a RPG by they are both "action" orientated
XP? It does not.
So you don't have a currency you spend to gain character power?
It has a currency, and you can increase your health, but then, you can do the same thing in Zelda
This is an age-old argument now. Is Zelda an RPG?
YES
Regardless we're off track.
Lets put it like this.
If my geriatic grandma who can only press a button every 2 or 3 seconds can't beat the game. It's an action game or something that requires higher dexterous abilties like a shooter
Is Metroid?
Forget holding FF7R to bayonetta's standards
In this vein FF7R is an ACTION game
holy fuck this is a dumbass argument
FF7R doesn't even let you jump.
If we agree it's an action RPG than I claim Cloud plays like shit by Action-rpg standards.
So far as I understand Metroid no and the reason for that is because what makes an RPG isn't just one specific thing
woah woah ff7r does let you jump, in fact most people agree its jump is the worst part of the game
Hang on. If Zelda is an RPG, then Metroid surely is too. Both have stats you can increase, and by the same method.
The only difference is that Metroid doesn't have an economy.
If Hades didn't exist, and show us how Cloud -should- feel, maybe I'd feel differently. But Hades did Cloud better than Cloud in terms of playfeel and part of that is because Hades was designed by people who aren't trying to 'invent the genre' when it's already been invented years previous.
But that isn't the part that makes Zelda an RPG, what makes Zelda an RPG specifically is stuff like the quests and stuff you can get and do on top of other stuff I'm probably missing
Hades is a top-down action roguelike, this is becoming absurd again.
what on earth is going on here XD
The roguelikeness is irrelevant to the point.
Panacea with bad takes on what makes a genre
Genre talk, its like this with music
The roguelike is literally the whole point of the damn game
But not the whole point of what I am saying.
can this be taken to general chat lmao
Again, by your logic, we may as well have no genres at all.
Being a roguelike has nothing to do with the -action feel- of the character.
So using that as a defence is redundant.
Unless it's a turn-based game, it's not an RPG, so anything short of that must be an action title, regardless of how little that serves to distinguish it.
Action game refers to HOW input is handled or what the game expects of you
WHOA THERE
Now you're contradicting yourself.
I never argued that being turn-based was required to be 'an rpg', I'm arguing that RPG is a deprecated genre, and using it to describe 'a genre' lacks coherent meaning.
That's what you guys are saying, I'm summing up your argument
You are all arguing that there's no difference between Bayonetta and FF7R.
So saying 'they're all rpgs therefore the same genre' is meaningless, because RPG is too broad to be a genre
No. That's not at all. You're misguided on what MAKES a game an RPG
Okay, define it then
No, there's clearly differences.
a shooter like cod uses stats to balance its gameplay it in no way defines it as a rpg an rpg is made up of it's story, game mechanics, questing system and decision making you know role play which is in the title...
We did earlier. You can scroll up
#not-ffxiv-discussion can this actually be taken to the more relevant and dead chat
Define RPG? Why? It's not germane to my point. It's an attempt to change the subject and natter on something irrelevant.
FF7R is an action game and cloud feels bad and other action games have made that archetype feel better and SE should have maybe played them ever.
guess 14 isnt an rpg at all..... by this logic cause we dont take turns...jeez lmao
inb4 no it's an MMO obviously
Its a elf dating sim
its a lala adoption sim actually 😛
Raubahn agrees
No, thats coming with 6.0
ff14 is my afk sim
if we pre order now do we get the pre order items now too?
yesh
Now* yes
All games are walking sims.
i mean you're not wrong
damn
That's really good
Also hi. If you’re going to talk about what games constitute as RPGs and what do not, please do not do so in this channel
We have #video-games-general for that
they already moved to general
How long will this channel be around for?
Good question
May I say again that I'm mad hyped about Reaper being wholly original. I'm loving every chance they get to do their own stuff.
Saaame. Reaper is hitting everything I wanted out of both BST and NEC theories
an extra entity with you + pure unadulterated edge?
Now that i've read where they get their inspiration for reaper i'm a bit worried about the teacher we will have
I need to make the cutest and most pink and girly outfit for my reaper XD
This word made me worried: chuunibyou
a lala reaper sounds funny
Lala reapers come for your kneecaps
Well, yes. Lol
But also an animation based pet and melee based necromancy. Drk was kinda close, and black magic was necro-adjacent lore wise. It also plays up my personal curiosity of THM/voidmancers
It's not a pet
If Ul'dah has taught me anything, lalas are not to be fucked with
I have no problem with RPR being Chuuni as hell
Perfection 👌
can see cosplays of this guy already
Oh, did they do the Gillionaire thing? Spofie spoke shortly on it in her stream
Looking forward to all the Ya Boi glamours

Ah yes, Megurine Luka. My favorite vshojo vtuber

New model and glow
oh yes new model
good news
Really? Wonder why they'd do new model when last 2 steps added new model and glow
I thought it would only be ilvl increase
Relics always constantly change its look
each step they add is allways new model and glow
It always goes no glow > glow > new model > glow
idk about the current brd relic thats why i was wondering
There will likely be a new model, no way they'd end it on 'Really Powerful Law's Order Rapier'
There will probably be two steps, one for the intermediary model, one for the final. The intermediary, being a punultimate step likely won't have a glow, but Anima did so it's not 100%
I won't be suprised if the last two steps are Blood / Cursed and Blessed.
We've been pumping so many negative memories into these, it's nuts.
Damned and Saved.
I would be shocked if the last step's final name didn't have something to do with 'Saving' cause you know, 'Save the Queen' and all that.
the gunblade should be Save the Queensguard
That sounds like the opposite of any accomplishment we've done so far eyes DR
Can I have a Save Dabog weapon?
||gonna say goodbye to friends, go alone to the moon, finish shit.timeskip mwhahahaha||
heh
why do we see the moon in the eye of zenos but not the world in the eye of us? there seems to just be a ball of light which might be a reflection of some sort
The sun
the secret zone is going to be on the sun
oh no its me

that's a hot take
it's clear as daylight
I appreciate your bright disposition
i can actually see it as a possibility
These puns are blinding
Anyone have a clip of the fender limit break?
is there a write up anywhere on the live qna? i can't imagine there was much of interest in it but i'd like to see anyways
thank you very much
About a week or so longer
Sorry for the late response
i googled the singer from the piano concert and uh i didn't expect to see adult videos of her in the google search
np.
did you type the wrong name or something?
nope, definitely her, looks identical and same leg tattoo. nothing wrong with it, just surprising is all
Because zenos is just Lunar WoL
Wait, of keiko?

Ystola can never die
Immortal Ystola
Y'shtola once again showed why she is best!
does anyone have imgur links for the PLL and keynote?
Badass bitch, sadly she casually walks into the tables in the back tho
like for the slides
I think that just sells it even more 🙂
Ystola the most gangsta scion
You're right, it's a goddamn power move
Idk about videos but she certainly has some risky imagry lol. Though nothing I wouldn't expect from musicians anymore :eyeroll:
Though i wouldn't be surprised xD
I love the coloring or..lack there of in that scene. The white and gray with the lighting just works so well
so much hype
Anyone else think tho that Sharlyan is gonna be a smoking crator at the end of Endwalker?
Do we have any idea who that guy she was talking to was
The twins dad
:OOOOOOOO
lmao no because that's where our market boards are
We don't usually know of the end game area before release rifht
@barren karma Weeeel we could have market boards in a smoking crator 😉
yea we dont usually see it from what i know
O.O Why is this channel marked NSFW
Fourchenault Leveilleur. He shows up in a short story called "In Louisoix's Wake" if you're interested.

We can make cockroaches our retainers @barren karma
I’m a bit surprised how similar Sharlayan looks to Dravania. I mean okay it’s the same as the colony but even the terrain looks the same. Dravania is an alpine region geographically and Sharlayan should either be tundra like Ishgard or even more cold but I guess they really used Dravania and Idyllshire and remodelled it for Sharlayan
Because of spoilers.
One of these days, I hope the team can do a movie on the side. These cinematics are begging for it. And after Kingsglaive I'm all in on another ff movie xD. I only wonder if our writing lead could do the plot or if it'd get handed to one of her underlings
Why would it be a tundra? It's literally never been described as one.
@chrome sundial LOL yes!!
the artwork on the vinyl sleeves are beautiful and can't wait for my set to arrive
Geographically it’s placed more in the norther region, so...
@mellow surge Sexy spoilers ')
So what? It's not like Iceland is a tundra.
Inb4 it's the next Idyleshire
greenland would like to know your location
gawwwd they put so much work into new hubs....and we all just hang out in Limsa anyways >-<
I'm going to vibe in Radz
Well I just didn’t expect it to be an exact copy of Dravanian Hinterlands sorry.
Bc the MB is there :V
We've also seen areas of Sharlayan before in Eureka.
Fair, I was expecting something new.
I mean, they probably chose Dravania (specifically on the cliffs, the geography of Dravania is varied) because it resembled their home island, and also because it's where Nyunkrepf built the vessel that he and his refugees left Eorzea on.
It's also a good site for digging and building weird castles.
The moon area thou..
Like this literally looks like someone fixed Idyllshire/Hinterlands
Ok.
Darkside of the moon zone
Old Sharlayan somehow looks like a not-broken New Sharlayan
well you gotta keep in mind
The mystery will never be solved as to why
i remember seeing this scene and some on pointed out she walks right behjind here so she gonna bump in to the table behind her.
I do hope giving us 3 entirely separate zones doesn’t cause 4.0.2 where we rushed from one zone to another
Honestly, if Old Sharlayan didn't look like Idyllshire/Hinterlands we should have called bullshit.
We? No you’d not have called anything
I assure you, I would have.
i would
If they didn't use Sharlayan architecture in Sharlayan, that'd be bad.
I do agree partially. I think the color pallate of old sharlayan could use some vibrance. Old sharlayan was an established civilazion, while new sharlayan was simply a colony-state. Old Sharlayan would have had access to a lot more resources for cultural expression
Architecture is one thing, this is just copy paste. Colonies exists irl too. British colonies existed in indian sub continent and there are many architectures which are straight out of UK but that doesn’t make UK look like India 2.0, just that they have similar buildings
lives in a british colony
has cities which look like british cities
doesn't know what you're on about
a lot of UK architecture is also a form of roman
Living in a colony too here kawaiian
You do expect differences in architecture--the Goblins in Idyllshire have added their own flair to the proceedings. You do not see the Goblin stuff in Sharlayan.
In fact, speaking from bangladesh rn
But this isn't a case of 'Old Sharlayan cribbed from New Sharlayan'
Like this sounds an awful lot like a personal problem, of you.
This is a case of 'The stuff we see in New Sharlayan was designed to be what Sharlayan stuff looks like'
And then we have the contrast of Goblin stuff, which is clearly not Sharlayan, has contrasting theme and even color, and that stuff doesn't transfer over.
are we seriously gonna go down the route of attacking people now
No one would expect England to look Indian, of course not. That's silly.
They expect it to look English
Like the english stuff in their colonies do
I was hoping to read a lot of positive talk about the Fanfest content
We cried about Soken earlier.
I need a gif of the t-shirt guy dance
but a lot of this argumentation is really vaipid
We will again, give it time, these things go in cycles.
honestly, fuck social distancing, give yoshi P a hug
It's been pretty positive. I've been too busy being smug at other MMO fans to be positive.
So lets discuss Y'shtola coming down a staircase that immediately turns, and then leaving the room in a straight line through a wall.
we will probabaly get a scene for this
Look, she's blind. It's fine
when did yshtola get blind?
Late ARR/HW I think
no wonder i cant remember
I thought she could only see Aether, but I might be wrong.
she closes her eyes when looking at aether
She can basically see in the same way blind superheroes can see
When she died and got brought back by the forrest guardians
Shes gonna jump over thes seats to get up thats how we'll do it if we can go there
I cant watch the closing ceremony without tearing up
When you get to Amaurot, she can see the atherical outline of the entire city and is like "Then you guys are seeing what I'm seeing then...?"
Because she cant believe what she's looking at
Because Emet is broken as fuck in power
Calling it Yshtola will die again in Endwalker.
Thancred also.
WoL also
I predict fandan wil
Azem will die, but the WoL will be fine
Maybe we finally lose the echo
no way!
Moonfilia will die
Why does the Sharylan map in the trailer also have fog of war?
That's something I noticed too
Maybe they don't want reveal that area??
the full area may not be out of development either
I assume that's a CG thing and ingame they'll have the unveiled version
Does no one want to go into FF Balkans?
could be finalizing zone connections and such
FF Slavs too stronk
Someone posted these in Saucey Noodle's Discord and they're so close I feel that it's worth posting.
I don't see HW part, rejected
Cause the map maker's Sharlayan and doesn't want to go to weird music jail for revealing knowledge
"They must not know about the Isle of Deez."
||Isle of DEEZ NUTS.||
You knew and still clicked, fools.
The HW section is super out of place, but I love it anyway.
It's part of what makes me feel "Endwalker" is just a medley of songs from Endwalker made for the cinematic alone.
Well i did click that's true but
I don't think it'll play (almost) in full the way "Shadowbringers" did.
Maybe the redone SB part is for the Ultimate
Either way, hope they use the trailer version for the last boss fight.
Soken doesn't make songs for stuff that far in advance.
Hey sb had bangers on release like amatsu kaze
Storm of Blood was a banger from the moment Triumph hit the scene.
Y'all just salty because Lyse is bland and you gotta add seasoning.
Did they ever say what the Triple Triad reward for all cards is going to be? They didn't get to it in the PLL
SB is the most underrated OST in this game.
It is definitely over hated
I think the SB OST is exactly as rated as it needs to be
You're wrong, it's a good soundtrack and Soken did excellent work on it.
It is a good soundtrack, doesn't change that I don't care about 90% of it
幻想絶景展- FINAL FANTASY XIV Artwork Exhibition -

I dig hearing my personal choir follow me to dungeon boss fights
That's wild
woah
it was an online art exhibition for fanfest
That leitmotif did overstay its welcome though, Kugane really could have used a different intro.
You could throw that set into a big Star Wars Naboo set and people would be none the wiser lmao
Agreed, I think an eastern inspired rendition of Revolutions in Kugane would've been nice.
Honestly Revolutions was kind of underused in remixes, a mistake Soken didn't make with Tomorrow and Tomorrow.
Revolutions was underrepresented.
That being said, Soken used the Measure of His Reach REALLY well throughout the OST.
Hard agree
Most of the tracks that use it manage to use it so subtly that people don't even notice it's there.
It's actually present in the themes of ALL the Gyr Abania zones.
That said, I will say that when Revolutions was used... mmmmm
Tsukuyomi entrance still best musical entrance in the game mmmm
I do not think Revolutions itself needed to be played more than in the end credits, though. Like, I don't think it would've been fitting in 4.3 or anything like that.
I also feel that not doing that made Shadowbringers slap harder when it hit in 5.0.
Basically, I think it's okay to not have the ending credits theme used like Final Steps does all the time, it depends on the context.
Well Tsukuyomi did a great job
Oh yeah she got three really good themes.
Incorporating a lot of the themes including Rev
Which, thematically, works for her narratively
Phase 1 is The Measure of His Reach, Revolutions
Phase 2 is Cyan's Theme, A Father's Pride/A Mother's Pride
Phase 3 is A Father's Pride/A Mother's Pride
Also Earth, Wind, and Water is the best rendition of that theme without lyrics.
And, I feel the opposite approach of making To the Edge mostly just Neath Dark Waters with some callbacks to Shadowbringers was, for similar reasons, thematically the right choice.
Maybe.
But the fight is kind of short in normal, so it might've taken away from To the Edge.
Eeeeh nah Timed out too far, and now don't add up at all
Probably they didn't because Extreme lacks a phase transition
It's deffo TUMBLING DOWN, TUM-BL-ING DOOOOOOWN
Also with Soken's health like
Yeah
I'm fine not getting one (though I think he could've reused one).
We got To the Edge, we can't be greedy
Possibly
"There's a step we take, Echoes in our wake. Went and mount our best, to forge ahead" doesn't even make lyrical sense
also there's that too--To the Edge -works- in that cutscene
Wake and Best don't rhyme
I wonder if we will make some kind of deal with a demon in the Reaper job questline. In order to get the battle buddy
I ain't write it, Hedge.
I kind of really want the Avatar to be the job mentor.
I want him to be a funny reaper man.
Still trying to figure out the trailer lyrics?
Rom, did you see my Avatar shitpost?
We pick up this rock and then you just hear a beat start playing
Ofcourse
and then you hear NYEH HEH HEH A HYUR-MAN?
What part u trying to figure out
I was more thinking of "KE KE KE"

Aight so I was watching the concert back cause I was too tired to watch it live. Who did this
did what?
Lol sick. Ram ranch.
on a side note i love the Ultima bass line they added to the Primals version of A Long Fall
it was the one Allag-related theme besides Order Yet Undeciphered not included in the original and they incorporated it really well
the concert was great
Did Soken go BWAH?!
I really wish there was an in person crowd
I was promised a BWAH, but I missed the concert
i am watching through the concert now since i couldn't stay up that late

Please don’t fuck up female Hrothgar the same way you did males SE
huh, she was always there, wasn't she
I always just assumed that was a femroe pretending but... them hand maidens
Yeah
i mean that Nevembya was always among the handmaidens
Yeah that too
Oh shit you're RIGHT
Please I am begging you
Not another "bulky lorge cartoonishly proportioned men thin sexy feminine women" race
Please
my vote is for comically lorge amazonian beasts
They might see the player base asking for the old au ra design and incorporate that to fem hrothgar, maybe
Ah well, it's a long way out anyways
Whatever they release will be scaled off midlander female’s base, so something like femroe build isn’t impossible for them
How femroe compares to maleroe is what I am complaining about
Hmm are Viera midlander based
I mean I like femroe as they are
That archetype has a place
Femhroth Pugilist but they just stand there and smack people by pivoting back and forth
'Is that the raid boss?' 'No, that's the healer'
Nah I think they're unique, their arms are longer than femra/femmid/femqote, and generally different proportions
Same, but like
We've got maleroe and femroe, then male au ra and fem au ra; I am very tired
Like if femmid etc has teenager body, then femviera is def adult. male viera looks closer to mid/miqo/au ra tho
I mean we're 200% agreeing
