The first 9 chapters of vanilla XV was alright I overlevelled and went through all of the harder dungeons and had a blast. The Leviathan chapter was ok but the story started getting real janky. I did play the extra chapter 13 and the chocobro DLCs and that was good but as I said it was insulting not to put these in the base game. Rather them not have the DLC but have a proper last arc and more Luna.

To me, Final Fantasy has no real identity as a series anymore. It's basically just 14 and then the PSX games (I guess FFX too). Was it Sakaguchi who said he defined FF as being games where each one just has their all poured into it and then it's done. They move on with a different premise/story and repeat the process.
