Any and all side content is done because you're an Adventurer that wants to help people, at no point does Hydaelyn tell you to "Go make friendly with beast tribes" . All of Heavensward and Stormblood happens because you ultimately decided it was the right thing to do, Hydaelyn at no point told you "Fight Garlemald and liberate Ala Mhigo and Doma" "Go stop the Dragonsong War" "Go to the First and save the Source"

• Louisoix's Finest Student was 3.55's last quest. There were four more MSQ that came after that
• Baelsar's Wall was the dungeon immediately prior
• 3.56 had "The Obvious Solution" (where Nero showed up and annoyed Cid) - this set up the SB raids
• It also had a solo duty with Grynewaht
• then the final quest, Far Edge of Fate... "brace for the coming storm" - this was a bit of a cliffhanger
