For me, I can understand Y:DA not being engaging. I think SHB I took a way to hard Chill stance vs stormblood or heavensward. Which led to me being disinterested in mhach. But hyped for ivalice. I felt more like I was drinking at a bar with friends while doing nier. While say mhach I was like trying to looking into the lore of it and just felt mostly empty about the story.
