having similar affect abilities in relatively close areas to others makes getting quick access to what you need in fast paced situations easier

My main query is how common is it to use the left and right wing cross bars that's just placeholders for cooldown management rather than active use

mapping is meant to make your abilities flow as easily as possible, and what you press varies from person to person

for instance, what i map may very well be horrible for a left hand dominant player

i will however say that because holding down both triggers, however small, requires more effort than one, i usually keep less often used abilities and moves on the second hotbar

limit break, for instance, is on my least used trigger combo order, on my least used button

so, left to right trigger Y

so in my brain, i know when my fingers press those buttons "ok, something important is happening"

mapping is mostly for visual ease more than anything else if i'm being honest

muscle memory is what's gonna get you through harder content

Like at the start of shadowbringers they gave fists of wind a bit of purpose by linking it to your greased lightning Gage but now grease lightning is just a passive effect and no longer needs to be charged up turning fist of wind back into its old form

earth stance is for solo content, as you can get fucking destroyed by some overworld enemies

wind stance is useful for in cities and long stretches of dungeons with nothing to do, such as after a boss wipe or for positioning when you can't target a boss
