Well, no, Gordius did not hit what it was aiming for, and neither did Midas. The former because rotationally, the game got very difficult compared to ARR even though they scaled damage on point--and not in a way that was beneficial to game growth. The latter because making up for rotational difficulty they made the dps checks smooth but made the mechanical difficulty much higher--while still having the rotational difficulty. Creator 'felt right' but it was also nerfed to account for rotational cruft, which they only finally got right in Stormblood.
