I just got hit with a realization that actually makes me a lot less worried about the PLD rework and a lot more interested actually. They're making the spell part of the rotation the burst, meaning that Paladin is going to be a Tank inverse of Red Mage. Stays in for most of its rotation, but has a casting burst, letting it do mechs and help other teammates while maintaining uptime.

At least, that's what I'm anticipating.

Golbez wanting to break into the Lifestream directly so that the Thirteenth can finally die completely seems like a major project that goes beyond him just wanting death for himself.
