there's also the asphodelos ones if you like the greek theme but they are fairly simple so you could probably make it work with other things

I don't know how much gil you got, but to get crystal sand, at first I used Grand Company seals to buy moonstones, cuz I get SO many seals. After I bought battlecraft and fieldcraft demimateria I and II's from the market to turn into crystal sand.

the only time I recall doing fates for the heavensward relic weapons, was just the first part, to get the Luminous Crystals for 'Soul Without Life'

and those crystals dropped pretty fast, at most 3 fates, for 1.

you can also pre-grind them, if you are going to do more weapons later.

ah 😉 there are a few tricks around the game that no one really explains, and gotta find out for yourself. Jumping servers lets you find the lowest prices for items. But sometimes if it gets really busy, you may get stuck in another world server for a few min before you can return back to your own.
