How do you all settle on a race for your WoL? I keep bouncing between Lalfel and Viera, stuck because I cannot decide if I want to have sexy options for Glamour, or if I just want sheer force-of-cuteness

I settled on miqote at first, because I was free trial and I got a look i like easier than other races . Didn't know about the fact that miqos are everywhere tho.
The plan was to fanta into viera when I eventually subbed
But I stuck to my miqo ever since
Also cause viera have limited hairboptions and can't wear most hats. But its actually a non issue. Viera have gorgeous hairstyles. And I actually only wear like 2 big hat out of my current 19 glams or so

see i went from roedagyn (first character) to viera (on my second character not using a fantasia)
so i wanted to go in as a viera immediately with "i dont want to wear cute sparkly outfits"
cus thats not me. the only times i ever worn anything "cute" was if it was the best gear to use for the class as i leveled it up
and i didnt want to glam the class until AFTER i reached level 70/80 cus i was still getting the feel of it and what would feel right.

@hollow kayak you get 2 sets of lvl 50 armor. The high ilvl version can't be dyed. The lower ilvl version can be augmented to be made dyeable btw! The augment iirc is crafted. I personally haven't augmented them

both Collegiate sets are pretty nice, and the skirt is usable by males too.
Dirndl set for females also has a nice chestpiece.
If I had to recommend a mount, definitely Fatter Cat for cuteness
and /playdead is a very nice emote to use for expressing how well your current dungeon run is going

Hello, sorry if this isn't the correct place to ask, but it does concern glamour-- I purchased a Topaz Carbuncle Coat that was on sale from the Mogstation, and I saw that it said that if you had all 3 pieces equipped, that you'd receive a 30% exp bonus. Would that same bonus apply if you have it set in your glamour dresser and applied, or specifically if you equip only that directly to your character?

All good! I recommend using garland tools - it's a database where you can enter a gear piece and you can find every piece that shares the same model. You can also use it to find out what equipment NPCs are wearing

Are the gloves on the left dyeable? If so try them out in red. I think the color of the gloves on the right adds a bit more contrast but the half finger gloves fit the glam a little better.

@dawn thicket hey! Don't be too discouraged. I rmb seeing your glam and it honestly looked good. Just rmb that this is its own game after all and its not always possible to find very similar looking pieces even when trying to cosplay after something. I too had the same frustration when i was attempting some. We just got to get creative, make do with whats available and be happy with the look we end up with! So many times a I ended up liking a supposed cosplay so much, I changed some pieces and made it my own. Dont give up!

Currently looking for a top, but things closest tend to be part of a full-body thing that covers bottoms too. I'd like to find a sleevless shirt that also exposes the navel/midriff. Preferably dyeable, though if it's in black already then all the better. This will be going on a female Elezen character and, considering she's my main, I would prefer it to be available in as many classes as possible. So far the closest I've come to is a black summer halter top, and maybe the Summer's Flame top from the Mogstation. But I'd like to see what other options are out there. (See Hero Forge profile pic to see what I'm really going for here.)
Also looking for some odds and ends for retainers because I'm getting the actual full game soon. (REALLY been working my free trial to its max.) So any advice for a more feminine Miquo'te male or nice big poofy dresses for a female Lalafell, that'd be great.
