Really depends on what you're going for, midlanders are very much anime waifu bait so they work more at being cutesy while highlanders are more strong, rough and athletic

But you can make strong looking midlanders and cute highlanders so it's mostly just preference

then update your gearset as you go along

if you reequip your gearset you will reapply the linked glamour plate
