Ultimates aren't really that hard. It's just you have very little room to mess up. One person could make a small mistake and wipe the group 8 minutes in. Plus you have to worry about the DPS check. A lot of groups don't make it very far in because they're straight up bad even if they beat Savage.

you can upgrade the mendacity pieces with coins you get from running 24man raids too
but other than that's it's just capping genesis every week and buying gear piece by piece

There are side dungeons ans 24 man's to unlock still from 4.1 and onward.
Take one thing at a time and focus on story and the side dungeons first. You'll get there. 😄

What about this eureka stuff ? I'm not even sure what it exactly is at this point but is that fun to grind gear at ? I read it had some interesting skills and customizations

that's just normal mode raid drops yeah, each boss drops different tokens and you trade them for gear
eureka's a pretty boring grind and takes quite a long while to catch up
the skills and customizations are only in the latest zone from 35 to 50
it's a timesink but basically the only way for a casual player to get a weapon as good as the savage raid weapon
except if you're a casual player you don't really need one that much in the first place
so they slapped the brightest glows on them to make them worth getting for glamour
at i365 you're basically already high enough ilvl to do all casual content until the next expansion

there's some lvl 50 glowing pieces but the eureka gear doesn't glow, no
and if you want to raid then alphascape normal drops + genesis + augmented mendacity should be enough to get into a casual static, try some savage and hope for i400 drops

yeah it's fast in theory, but getting a i390 tome body takes 2 weeks while progging through the entire tier to get the i400 raid body can take months, especally with this tier being more difficult than the previous ones
the first boss is pretty easy and fun though, and drops all accesories, except you only get loot once a week and he drops 2 accesories out of like 25 across all roles and jobs

Hmm , well there was a dude in lima advertising to sell the ilvl 380 gear set for cheap , I could possibly get a few of those if needed then I guess depending on the drops , HoH has been kind to me and dropped that new hairstyle and quite a few barding while I was farming for mendacity 😄
