Oh yeah, don't worry about that too much. Unless you're doing /e end before every boss, their AoE damage is going to keep them above your single target dps. DRG AoE is mostly fine, but RDM is gonna beat you if they can do Moulinet.

our O8S clear was a scatter of me landing in green territory, the DRK solidly purple, the WHM around 70th percentile, and everyone else very gray except for the 99th percentile DRG
