You know, reading the TOS again regarding speech, I've come to a conclusion that it is not just about enforcing "common decency" or "courtesy, but completely absurd. Some things like rules against stalking, referencing mass historical violence, and doxxing are reasonable to many I assume.

Then there are things regarding discrimination against certain identities, more left leaning but still common. And then we go to rules against discrimination of "thinking", words that "unilaterally reject an opinion", a rule that says "Defaming other players, even if the player in question is acting in a way that is offensive to others, or performing a prohibited activity." is also bannable conduct, and I start to see that the sort of discussion happening in many discord servers like this one cannot even take place.

It is a very culturally Japanese way of handling things, but I feel it is completely out of touch with western cultural expression. The unit of blame is "discomfort", for any reason at all. Which means that unless something is agreeable to 99% of the population, it is "guilty". Think of what this actually means for expression or conduct. Many individuals hold different opinions, many of which are not fully accepted but are not considered extreme by society.

This TOS seems to regard opinions like this similar to things that are considered taboo in real life. This is why the community was seen as so anathema to disagreement, this attitude is protected, things are not resolved but boil over in passive aggressiveness for years.

The difference between new BRD and SMN 2.0 is that there is no buff window, so you arent having to time your highest DPS song in your burst. Because of this, you actually have the freedom to play your songs in whatever order to optimize the buffs that it gives even out of combat. So stocking your army's peon for a downtime mech or shifting your wanderers earlier for the shield cause a healer goes down is actually going to be optimal
