Hey guys. I tried to DC travel earlier and at the 10 minute mark, I closed my game and reopened it 'cause I thought I was stuck. Once I reopened it I got back into the travel queue and after 10 more minutes I got into the menu screen. Now I can't do anything. I can't log in (when I try to it says "Unable to execute command. Character is currently visiting another Data Center" and I can't right click my name to access the other options.

So my friend wanted to play ff14, so he bought the starter edition on a European steam account, then he clicked "play" and the option to make a square enix account was in the launcher so he made one, but the problem is that account that he made was a US account so after that, it asked him to put the registration key of he game and when he did, it said this "The code's region is inapplicable.
You can only enter codes from the same region as your Square Enix account."
So we tried to unlink the account from the Square Enix site but everytime, he starts the game on steam, the launcher is automatically locked to the account that was already made/linked. Is there a way ? To fix any of this mess ?

Short version is: we can't. 2002 is a lobby server error - meaning something going wrong either entirely on SE's end, or between you and the servers.
As I recall more specifically, it's the error that occurs when the connection is lost when your system is querying the server. It pings back every so often, and when your system doesn't get a ping, it 2002s
It was very common in early EW, but the primary cause then was some spaghetti code dating all the way back to 1.0.
