dark knight is a tank that builds up resources and cooldowns and empties them every 120s seconds
it uses mana for some defensive and attack skills, and manages these to maximize the amount of stuff you put out every 2 miutes since buffs also come out the same

- dodge pizza slices however you want but easiest is 3 -> 1. during these particular pizza slices, boss casts ashplume that you will just have to read. in his vid it's just spread so you spread to your spot immediately after / as you dodge slices. if it's stack, you stack
they're not dodging as it's attacking, the attack goes off (snapshotting) then they go into it
the attack animation is just disjointed because of how snapshotting works

There are a couple third party launchers that are sometimes brought up here. It does work on Steam if I recall correctly. Not necessary by any means but nice to have as it can help with patching.

There are some routing issues with some Aus ISPs, maybe beyond that in OCE region as a whole, nothing to do with FF14 or Square Enix as far as we know.
You can get around it with a VPN, Cloudflare WARP is free and confirmed to allow login, but at the cost of increasing latency by 100-150ms.
NOTE: some have reported WARP isn't 100% reliable, you may have to toggle it off and on a few times to get a good connection that isn't affected by the routing issues. (it picks one at random)

None. They only give good poetics if you haven’t done them yet due to the new player/first time bonus.
Your go-to duties to spam for poetics are the Aetherochemical Research Facility, Porta Decumana, or any 100 poetics dungeon you find that has a fast queue time.

Good morning, is it possible to make new characters on Balmung? If I understand it right, like a year ago (the last time I made a new character) the idea was you had to wait until early morning when nobody was online. I am not sure if I am remembering the process correctly though.

Groups try to avoid duplicate jobs for better limit break generation in Extreme/Savage/Ultimate, so playing multiples of the same role can help you get into more groups
