- These are how you reach the endgame and every other bit of content is locked behind it to some extent. MANDATORY
- These unlock a feature, instanced content, job actions, or a thing that is important for you to have. Do the ones related to your job/class and ones that unlock new content
- These usually have very little exp/gil as reward and are usually just part of the world/lore expansion. Mostly optional unless you are interested in doing them for the fluff
- These are quests you can do more than once, how often you can repeat it is up to the individual quest.

How do I unlock Hunts?
ARR Hunts: Be 2nd Lieutenant in your Grand Company and complete the quest ''Let the Hunt Begin'' located at your Grand Company. You can promote to 2nd Lieutenant by talking to the Personnel Officer and buying promotions for seals and by completing the GC Hunting Log and the quests ''Shadows Uncast and'' ''Gilding the Bilious.'' This must be done to unlock HW Hunts.

HW Hunts: Go to Ishgard – Foundation at x13, y11.9 and complete the quest ''Let the Clan Hunt Begin'' from Aytienne. Follow-up quests are ''Better Bill Hunting'' from Eustacia, ''Top Marks'' from Yloise in Idyllshire, and ''Elite and Dangerous'' from Ardolain. This must be done to unlock SB/SHB/EW Hunts.

SB Hunts: Go to Kugane at x10.4, y10.3 and complete all quests with the words ''Veteran Clan Hunt'' from Estrild.

SHB Hunts: Go to The Crystarium at x12.2, 15.1 and complete the quest ''Nuts to You'' from the Hume Lout. Afterwards complete all quests from Halldor at x9.5, y9.4.

EW Hunts: Go to Old Sharlayan at x:11.2, y:12.1 and complete the quest ''The Hunt for Specimens'' from the Diminutive Gleaner. Afterwards complete all quests from Northota at x:11.8, y:13.2.

So anything that doesn't need to be used frequently or regularly, for me, tends to get shunted over to the right and left there to be clicked ad-hoc

because with a game with a long GCD cycle like FFXIV, there's absolute loads of time to move the mouse back and forth

question, I am level 53 and I feel like my gears are a bit... behind for my level. Ive been using gears I get from quests but from my gw2 and wow days I know I should do dungeons for better gear but idk which ones to do and how to get what gear.

Bear in mind that "congested" tends to mean specifically the label SE uses to shift new player/character spread away from certain worlds. There are no actual Congested worlds right now, what you're running into is more the peak hour situation, which stops new character creation because the character creator uses the login servers.

PvP also has normalized stats. You need to be at least level 30 to play in it but once you’re in a match, you’re at the same level as everyone else. PvP matches even give you exp if you’re not max level. Not much, keep in mind, but it’s a thing.
