Iirc you get to pick the Data Center in that character creation. But if you wanted to change some settings you need to do so afterwards.

okay so i played the free trial on NA server, on an old square enix account that i think its registered on EU, i bought the subscription(not the endwalker, it should work without it as well right?) and i try to put my code that i got from steam to ffxiv website and this is what i get. is there any way that this can be fix or am i doomed?

Gotta get a version of the game that matches your account region.

So if it's an EU account, you'd need an EU version of the game.

That means buying it from the EU store, not the NA store.

It's like the error says - the region is inapplicable.

Your game code region must match your account code region.

The only fixes would be to either a.) create an NA region Mogstation account and use your NA code there, or b.) figure out how to change your Steam region to EU, and buy the game again.

In the latter case, you should theoretically be able to get a refund on the NA code

Harks back to the time when the only way to buy was on physical discs, which were (and still are) region coded.

And different countries' versions of the same game systems had different read systems, so you couldn't pick up, say, a JP coded game and play it on your NA system.

Yes to both.

The free trial includes the base game plus the Heavensward expansion. What you can't do is things like purchase game housing, start your own party-finders, access the Marketboard, buy Mogstation cosmetic items, things like that.

If you really want to gear up super badly when you hit 90 you can buy crafted 90 gear off the Marketboard, but aside from that, without being in Endwalker, Aug Crypt is the best you can get and really all you need.

It’s somewhat confusing but small houses are classified as cottages. Mediums are called houses. Larges are referred to as mansions. Keep those terms in mind when buying exterior stuff for your house. Sizes have to match for those furnishing.

Roulette in need in bonus question:

1. How much is the xp bonus? It doesn't actually say when you queue. Is it like.. 10%? 25%?
2. The in need bonus is still applicable if you go as a group less than than the max number of the group correct? So if tank in need I could go tank and bring a DPS buddy of mine and I would still get the bonus rewards?
