Okay, without giving a full explanation, you're not gonna get the normal raids done using df so either make a pf and ask for help to unsync(ignore level sync and enter at maximum power) or come back later and do that solo.
Alliance raid quest line is mandatory, but it's casual content so just use the duty finder

If you bind your mount button, whatever one you've picked, to a key or key combination, pressing it will both mount you and, if you're on the ground, dismount you.
For example, I have my mount roulette bound to Shift+Space, and two other mounts I enjoy specifically bound to two other keys.
When I land, I hit Shift+Space and I'm immediately dismounted.

every job, unless you have sks for physical jobs or sps for magical jobs, have a base 2.5s GCD. It's only when you have those stats accordingly, or job specific buffs, where that GCD is different

well that's a separate thing, not GCD
triggers the GCD, but it has a different recast timer (that's at base recast). Depends a bit how you think about it, I suppose, but it's not something that "affects your GCD" in a more general sense
