For gear below the lvl cap, the success rate is 100% iirc, but for those at lv cap, there's a chance the materia can break

Spiritbond is something different entirely. It allows u to extract a new random materia (grade is dependent on the gear u extract from) from thin air when the spiritbond of the equipment is maxed

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

Figure out which plot or plots you would like based on location and potential cross-ward availability. For example ... plots 2 and 37, just to pick random numbers. Don't bid immediately once the window is open. Wait until the last day and a half or so, check the plots 2 and 37 across each ward to see which ones have the lowest amount of bids on them, and then make a decision where you want to try for.

That way you can increase your chances by looking for places with the least amount of bids.

Question about portraits: so I have a portrait that I want to use for RDM/BLM in CC but it never shows up in the match screen even though my other portraits do. I’ve set it as my instant portrait multiple times, linked it to the gear set which didn’t have any gear changes, and I’ve re-saved the portrait with the job I want to queue with. This problem happened even before I started using the portrait for BLM, but it did work for my RDM when I first made it. There’s no error exclamation at all in the portrait menu, only the symbol showing that it’s the instant portrait. I can’t show the portrait but my WOL’s face and torso is visible even though I have the 2B mask on. Anyone else experienced this?

I need finger shrimp and the website is suggesting I CAN fish them up in the same zone I'm doing the leve (Eastern La Noscea) but... the fishing spot they are suggesting it on the 'red dot' but I can't quite get there from where I'm at... It's not entirely RNG dependent. Look up Catbecamehungry. I use this when ever I fish. It will give you times of days, weather, and suggested baits with their percentages. Note on the baits: In some cases you might have to look up what other people have said worked. There's been times when Catbecamehungry had a suggested bait that didn't work for me but someone's reddit suggestion did. Weather and time of day is a bit RNG (as well as fish) but no where near as rng as it taking weeks for conditions, at least in most cases. After fishing long enough, I started to notice patterns in conditions. Still RNG but more frequently than suggested
