Semantically, all casters mainly attack. The "green dps" meme is still inherently true; as a healer, you're not going to be sitting around doing nothing waiting to heal, and the higher level you get, the more tools you have in your kit so you can heal or shield without pausing your damage.

That's not really a helpful distinction to make for someone who specifically stated they were looking for an attack caster class.

The term "pure healer" seems like it means you only heal, but it just means the healing side of the kit is focused on power heals and regens, as opposed to a "barrier healer" who focuses on shields absorbing damage and damage reduction.

The main point of the update is mainly revolving around the textures. You can see an example by comparing the job gear with their PVP variant. They use the new techniques they learned with SHB to update the look, but the overall model is still the same

camera distance isn't related to the turning thing, i've had that on and it auto turns when running

the issue is that if she's looking at the boss and then she AMs towards a bud and it distracts it from her, the zoom of the camera doesn't matter since the boss isn't even in frame

i'm a person who's directly against xivcombo usage for pragmatic reasons but i agree that the camera problem is minor enough to where you can elect to use simpletweaks and not lose much in the way of muscle memory

you dont have to update anything when the game gets updated
XIVlauncher gets disabled automatically when a patch comes out, its developers work on getting it working for the new patch, then release an update
then next time you launch it, it updates itself, you can also set plugins to auto update
literally nothing needs to be manually updated

they have tried to make it as seamless as possible when it comes to plugins

and if you are like me, you Only use plugins that add some nice QoL, not fundamentally changing how you play the game
you can live without them without any issues on patch days 🙂
