alright update on the stuff I posted yesterday
I got my Japanese Endwalker complete edition purchase refunded by Steam
but
I can only change my Steam account region once every 3 months, and I changed it to Japan like two weeks ago
so I can't go back to the US store and buy the game there

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

There are groups of people who do blind runs of things for fun, and there are groups of people who do past content at minimum item level for fun. But by and large the expectation for current content is that you know what you're doing, and for past content that you're doing it unsynced to make it faster.

usually if there's a change in ip location, it flags the system as suspicious and suspends the acct. temporarily as a safeguard against someone trying to hack your acct.
changing your password is more or less the requirement to deal with that

If its the launcher, chances are your account is temporary soft locked to prevent malicious act. I suppose you can send support an email about this and ask them to release your account with the relevant details.
