To simplify crafting, you’re trying to raise the quality bar as high as possible while leaving yourself with enough durability and CP to be able to actually finish the craft by completely filling the progress bar.

The more you fill the quality bar, the bigger EXP bonus you get. You also increase the chance of the item becoming High-Quality, which makes it better in many aspects
