as for controller, two tips i recommend are a macro that targets the 5th person in the party, and pressing up twice to quickly wrap around to the 8th person on the list.
the macro is due to it being a bit annoying to target people in the middle of the list
(very good for AST cards)

To give an example for that bloodbrine sea boat, I'd love to give my reasoning on their spectrals.
The first zone has a spectral with 2 high-value fish, the Devil's Sting and the Callichthyid. The Devil's Sting has a !! catch timer that makes it impossible to mistake for other fish, so it's a somewhat easy pick of the two.
The second zone has 2 more high-value fish, the Coral Seadragon and The Fallen One. Both give near-identical points, but The Fallen One has a unique catch-type and timer making it easy to blind DH/TH.
The third zone has only one high-value fish, the Quartz Hammerhead. The catch timer is unique to it, making it another easy blind DH/TH.
(I can't personally tell you if Triple Hook is better than Double Hook, I haven't done any ocean fishing since I hit level 90)

Hard to say. Could be a calculation to get a specific figure back after regional taxes, could be just where they themselves were undercutting other sellers, could be they just didn't want a perfectly round number, could be they were doing the exact opposite of the _,999 thing that's so common irl....

I currently have full set of Shire (lvl 60) poetics set and it will take me probably 3-4 days to progress Stormblood far enough to get lvl 70 poetics eq; I don't want to waste them by overcapping and I don't really play multiple classes so buying more ironworks/shire eq is of no benefit to me
