Only level 50 to unlock it, but the higher the level you are. The faster it is to clear it.
When it comes to extreme trial farming. you have 2 options to get the mount. You can get it as a drop, or after each run you will get a certain item. Like if you clear clear extreme trial "XYZ." you get 1 "XYZ totem" If you clear extreme trial "ABC" you get 1 "ABC totem." lets say RNG hates you, and you don't get the mount to drop by 99 run attempts. You can take those 99 totems and turn them in for the mount whistle.

My wife must have started the Bozja questline and then stopped it mid-go at some point. Right now, she can get to Utya's Aegis in Bozja but can't leave. There's no quest-giver and she's talked to every single NPC. There's no quest giver in Gangos except for the bloke who gives out the weapons, and she already has two, so I know she's done that at least once.

Every guide for Bozja quest lines that I can find is for unlocking Bozja, and ends when Sergos will let you go to Bozja. There's nothing for when you get to Utya's Aegis and... nothing.

I'm happy to answer any and all diagnostic questions. Not going to lie, we're a bit up a tree with this one.

If there's a phase transition/long downtime you'll want to use it somewhere before it happens

I would say that the biggest differences between the shark and the manta are that the shark is slightly RNG, and can only be gotten during fixed times (when the fishing trips are up), while the manta is artificially time gated by the beast tribe quests, but you can do them whenever you want.
